Thursday, March 15 Agency assist, 1:35 a.m.: A trooper assisted Brookings Police Department search for a burglary suspect armed with an edged weapon near Seventh and Hassett streets. The suspect was apprehended without incident. Sunday, March 18 Agency assist, 3:15 p.m.: A trooper assisted a Gold Beach Police officer with a traffic stop that resulted in the driver being arrested for possession of marijuana. Monday, March 19 Driving complaint, 12:05 p.m.: A trooper received a complaint from an off-duty trooper stating that a vehicle nearly hit him head on while attempting to pass in a no-passing zone on Highway 101 five miles north of the Curry County line. The driver was stopped in Curry County and a 50-year-old woman from Coos Bay was cited for reckless driving.
