Injury accident, 12:59 p.m.: A 53-year-old motorist from West Linn was northbound on Highway 101 preparing to make a left turn into the Secret Beach pullout when a 79-year-old driver from Yuba City, Calif., failed to stop and crashed into the first vehicle. Minor injuries were reported and everyone refused treatment. The California driver was cited for careless driving.
Monday, July 25
Warrant, 8:45 p.m.: A camper at Cape Blanco State Park reported taking a short hike and when he returned found his vehicle had been stolen. The trooper investigating the incident found that the 41-year-old camper was wanted on a Maricopa, Ariz., warrant for aggravated assault and transported to Curry County Jail.
Tuesday, July 26
Recovered stolen vehicle, 10:06 a.m.: Oregon State Parks personnel reported finding the vehicle reported stolen on the banks of the Sixes River in Cape Blanco State Park. The victim’s possessions at his campsite were placed in the vehicle, because he was lodged in the Curry County Jail, before towing the vehicle.
