Driving while suspended, 11:56 p.m.: A motorist was stopped on Old County Road for following too closely. The driver admitted his license was suspended. The 23-year-old man from Grants Pass was cited.
Friday, Dec. 31
Driving while suspended, 3:15 p.m.: The 23-year-old driver from Grants Pass cited the previous night was spotted driving on Highway 101 southbound on the Chetco River bridge. The driver was found hiding in a restroom in the 16200 block of Highway 101 where he was taken into custody. He was cited again and releaed.
Saturday, Jan. 1
DUII, 12:50 a.m.: A 50-year-old Brookings man was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Chetco Avenue near Fifth Street.
Failure to register as a sex offender, 2:26 a.m.: During a traffic stop on Boat Basin Road, a passenger was was interviewed and a records check found he had not registered as a sex offender since June 2009 and he failed to report his current address. The 21-year-old Brookings man was transported to Curry County Jail.
Sunday, Jan. 2
DUII, 8 p.m.: A 33-year-old Brookings man was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants and possession of marijuana on Azalea Park Road.
Monday, Jan. 3
DUII, 7:35 p.m.: A 32-year-old man from Trinidad, Calif., was stopped on Highway 101 near milepost 342 for having no trailer lights and failure to drive within lane. He was found to be driving under the influence of intoxicants and transported to the Curry County Jail. He was also charged with reckless driving.
Thursday, Jan. 6
DUII, 8:40 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped for having no license plate lights on Hall Way. The 53-year-old Brookings man was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving uninsured and having an open container in the vehicle.
Friday, Jan. 7
Injury vehicle crash, 8:30 p.m.: A 64-year-old Harbor man was driving southbound near Humbug Mountain when he lost control and slid into a ditch. He was transported to Curry General Hospital and cited for failure to wear safety belt and violationof basic speed rule.
