Using an invalid license, 4:05 p.m.: A 54-year-old Brookings man was stopped for violation of basic rule on Highway 101 near Geisel Monument and found to be driving while suspended and using an invalid license. He was also cited for driving uninsured. His pickup was towed from the scene.
Thursday, Jan. 26
Non-injury traffic crash 8:56 p.m.: An 18-year-old man was driving recklessly on Lower Harbor Road resulting in a minor traffic crash causing property damage. The driver was cited for second-degree criminal mischief and reckless driving.
Saturday, Jan. 28
DUII, 1:18 a.m.: A van was pulled over on Lower Harbor Road after the 41-year-old driver from Grants Pass failed to drive in his lane and failed to signal for a turn. When the trooper contacted the driver, he attempted to evade arrest by fleeing to his motel room. He did not comply with orders to stop. He was apprehended on the landing in front of his room and handcuffed. At Brookings Police Department he refused to provide a breath sample and was transported to Curry General Hospital for a forced blood draw. The man was booked into the Curry County Jail on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving while suspended, attempting to elude and interfering with a peace officer.
Sunday, Jan. 29
Warrant service, A 42-year-old Harbor man was arrested for a probation violation warrant on West Hoffeldt Lane.
Wednesday, Feb. 1
Warrant service, 3:20 p.m.: A 37-year-old man was arrested for a probation warrant at his West Hoffeldt Lane residence. He was booked in the Curry County Jail.
Thursday, Feb. 2
DUII, 1:08 a.m.: A 28-year-old man from Eagle Point was driving under the influence of intoxicants northbound on Highway 101 near Hoffeldt Lane. At Brookings Police Department he submitted a breath test and he was cited.
Saturday, Feb. 4
DUII, 1:24 a.m.: A 22-year-old Brookings woman was cited for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Chetco Avenue.
DUII, 11 p.m.: A 50-year-old driver from Oxnard, Calif., was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants on Highway 101 between Hoffeldt and Benham Lanes.
Monday, Feb. 6
Criminal mischief, 9 a.m.: A can of paint was thrown at road construction machinery parked near Rainbow Rock. Damage was done to a window and paint splattered on the equipment. Oregon Department of Transportation removed its equipment.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
Failure to return suspended license, 4:05 p.m.: A pickup was pulled over on Wedderburn Loop for improper display of license tags. It was found the 20-year-old Gold Beach driver had a suspended license. The driver was cited and the pickup released to a licensed driver.
