Friday, Dec. 16
Non-injury traffic crash, 8:35 a.m.: A 56-year-old Port Orford man was driving on Highway 101 in the Humbug Canyon when he struck a dead deer in the roadway, causing damage to two tires. The car was towed to Gold Beach.
Warrant service, 3:55 p.m.: A 41-year-old man was arrested in the 99700 block of Donalds Road for a felony warrant for probation violation. He was transported to the Curry County Jail.
Wednesday, Dec. 21
Stolen vehicle, 7:30 p.m.: A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation at Highway 101 Benham Lane and it was determined the vehicle was reported stolen to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The trooper determined that the driver was the registered owner. The owner failed to notify authorities that he had recovered his car from a family member. The vehicle was removed from the system and the owner warned about the violation.
Sunday, Dec. 25
Non-injury traffic crash, 5:55 p.m.: A 41-year-old Crescent City man was involved in a crash on Highway 101 near Arizona Beach. The SUV received extensive damage and was towed. Both the driver and his mother declined medical attention.
