Harassment, 12:15 p.m.: 600 block of Fifth Street.
Fire, 1:22 p.m.: 1300 block of English Court.
Theft, 2:23 p.m.: 800 block of Brookhaven Drive.
Wednesday, Sept. 11
Fire, 12:07 a.m.: 700 block of Elk Drive.
Prowler, 2:03 a.m.: 17700 block of Brown Deer Lane.
Suspicious conditions, 11:28 a.m.: A suspicious vehicle left the area of Fern Avenue and Elk Drive before officers arrived.
Menacing, 2:28 p.m.: 16200 block of Highway 101.
Suspicious conditions, 3:14 p.m.: An officer checked an unoccupied vehicle on Redwood Street with an open door, keys in ignition and a purse on the seat. The owner was located.
Burglary, 5:27 p.m.: A possible theft from a motel room in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue was not as reported. No crime.
Suspicious conditions, 5:46 p.m.: 17000 block of Eastwood Lane.
Suspicious conditions, 9:25 p.m.: An unattended vehicle in the lower parking lot at Azalea Park was not legally parked. An officer was unable to locate its owner in the park.
Transient information, 9:33 p.m.: A business owner in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue reported a group of transients camping in the bushes behind the business. An officer contacted three transients known to him. They gathered their things and left the area.
Brookings police issued warnings pertaining to defective vehicle equipment, and speed. Also several citations were made for speeding.
Thursday, Sept. 12
Suspicious conditions, 8:40 a.m.: 300 block of Maple Street.
Disorderly conduct, 10:31 a.m.: 500 block of Pacific Avenue.
Threats, 11:50 a.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street.
Welfare check, 1:41 a.m.: An officer checked on a woman laying in the grass along Oak Street. She was intoxicated and taking a nap. She went to a friend’s house.
Counterfeit, 2:06 p.m.: Seven counterfeit $20 bills found along South Bank Chetco River Road under the Chetco River bridge were turned over to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office.
Menacing, 3:56 p.m.: An adult man was cited for menacing and criminal mischief in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue. He was also warned for criminal trespassing.
Suspicious conditions, 9:17 p.m.: A suspicious vehicle was reported at a vacant home on Marine Drive. It was gone when police arrived.
