Loud noise, 5:28 p.m.: 800 block of Limbaugh Way.
Suspicious conditions, 6:31 p.m.: Juveniles were thought to have damaged the tennis court nets at Bud Cross Park. But, it was found that the wiring holding up the nets was rusted and needs to be replaced.
Hit and run, 7:40 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Sunday Jan. 3
Minor in possession of alcohol, 12:17 a.m.: Police raided a party in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue and cited several underage people for consuming alcoholic beverages.
Fight, 12:47 a.m.: Police received multiple calls about a couple fighting in the street at Chetco Avenue and Oak Street. When the police arrived, the male ran and was captured a few minutes later. Although there was some torn clothing and bloodshed, neither person wanted to file charges against the other.
Suspicious conditions, 2:18 a.m.: 500 block of Fifth Street.
Suspicious conditions, 4:59 a.m.: A woman in the 19000 block of Pacific Crest Drive reported seeing lights on in a neighbor’s house which should be vacant.
Burglary, 8:02 a.m.: A business in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue was broken into sometime during the night and cash was taken from the till.
Animal complaint, 2:02 p.m.: Two dogs broke out of their 6-foot wooden fence enclosure and attacked a dog being walked by its owner, The victim’s dog was taken to a local veterinarian for treatment of gashes under its legs.
Suspicious conditions, 4:01 p.m.: Two very young children were reportedly left unattended in a vehicle while the parent was in the store shopping in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue.
Criminal trespass, 5:15 p.m.: An employee trying to close up for the night expressed concern about several transients were hanging around outside the back of the business in the 15900 block of Highway 101.
Traffic crash, no injury, 6:19 p.m.: Man reported a deer ran into his vehicle about five miles north of Brookings on Highway 101.
Identity theft, 6:54 p.m.: 300 block Fifth Street.
Juvenile problem 7 p.m.: Brookings area.
Theft, 7:15 p.m.: A Brookings resident reported theft of mail.
Driving complaint, 9:39 p.m.: A woman reported a vehicle following her so closely on Chetco Avenue near Fifth Street that she could not see the vehicle’s headlights in her rearview mirror.
Criminal trespass, 10:30 p.m.: 1200 block of Chetco Avenue.
Fight, 10:33 p.m.: 300 block of Mulberry Lane.
Suspicious conditions, 11:02 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.
