Friday, May 1

Fraud, 9:42 a.m.: A credit card scam was reported in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue.

Assist public, 11:25 a.m.: An infant was left unattended in a parked vehicle at Ray’s Food Place.

Driving complaint, 12:34 p.m.: A citizen reported the driver of a gray minivan was driving recklessly northbound on Highway 101.

Accident, 2:26 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street, no injury.

Theft, 3:03 p.m.: A bank in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue reported a personal check was altered.

Littering, 6:55 p.m.: A citizen reported a parked, unoccupied vehicle was surrounded by garbage near Highway 101 and Dawson Road.

Saturday, May 2

Misuse of 911, 2:32 p.m.:  A 3-year-old in the 7100 block of Vista Ridge Drive was playing with the phone and dialed 911.

Animal complaint, 3:21 p.m.: A resident in the 97000 block of Henderson Road reported her neighbor’s pit bull comes onto her porch and attacks her dog.

Dispute, 4:15 p.m.: A dispute in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue led to both parties involved being cited for harassment and theft.

Suspicious conditions, 6:51 p.m.: 7000 block of Welch Court.

Driving complaint, 9:50 p.m.: Juveniles were reported driving recklessly in the area of Brookings-Harbor High School.

Driving complaint, 10:29 p.m.: A possible drunk driver was reported north of the state line.

Juvenile problem, 10:47 p.m.: Brookings-Harbor High School.

Sunday, May 3

Illegal camping, 12:36 a.m.: Two tourists from Switzerland were sleeping in their van at Chetco Point.

Animal complaint, 7:34 a.m.: Several callers reported cows in the roadway on Highway 101 near milepost 362.

Found property, 10:15 a.m.: A driver license was found and returned to its owner.

Accident, 11:08 a.m.: 16200 block of Highway 101. No injuries.

Found property, 12:05 p.m.: Lone Ranch Beach.

Criminal mischief, 4:19 p.m.: A vehicle was keyed in the Fred Meyer parking lot.

DUII, 8:53 p.m.: A vehicle  knocked down a stop sign at Spruce and Alder streets. A temporary sign was placed after a 34-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Monday, May 4

Hazard, 3:59 a.m.: An officer came upon a vehicle that had rolled into the street from a driveway in the 200 block of Cedar Street. It was found the vehicle was in neutral and the parking brake was not set. The owner was awakened and asked to move the vehicle.

Animal complaint, 4:16 a.m.: A barking dog was disturbing the peace in the 1300 block of Heather Lane.

Misuse of 911, 8:56 a.m.: A woman on the 15100 block of Highway 101 called 911 to ask for Sheriff John Bishop’s telephone number.

Animal complaint, 9:07 a.m.: A small beagle was found running loose in the 500 block of Cushing Court. The dog was returned to its owner.

Hit and run, 12:33 p.m.: A white van was observed knocking down a city-planted tree valued at $300 in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue and leaving the scene. The van and driver were located at Harris Beach.

Juvenile problem, 3:30 p.m.: Brookings-Harbor High School.

Tree down, 4:05 p.m.: Highway 101 near Harris Beach.

Tree down, 5:01 p.m.: Eight miles up Carpenterville Road.

Juvenile problem, 8:50 p.m.: 97900 block of Lively Lane.
