Criminal trespass, 1:04 a.m.: Multiple building checks were made because of a complaint received of subjects living in a storage unit. Checks resulted in a criminal trespass arrest in the 200 block of Wharf Street.
Suspicious conditions, 4:51 a.m.: Two suspicious men knocked on caller’s doors. The caller was concerned because they were now standing in the street, near the schools, staring at the apartments.
Found property, 4:59 a.m.: A grocery shopping cart left behind in the “S”curve on Ransom Avenue.
Driving complaint, 9:44 a.m.: A person was clipped by a vehicle while walking to the grocery entrance of Fred Meyer.
Fight, 12:17 p.m.: 600 block of Memory Lane.
Suspicious conditions, 1:07 p.m.: Two men were selling home theater systems out of the back of their vehicle in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue.
Criminal trespass, 2 p.m.: A male transient was told to leave a business in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue after he was caught stealing merchandise.
Unlawful entry of a vehicle, 4:02 p.m.: A vehicle was broken into and items stolen while parked on the side of the Highway 101 at Winchuck River Road.
Hazard, 5:05 p.m.: A greenhouse fell off the back of truck causing lane blockage on Highway 101 south of Rainbow Rock Condominiums.
Criminal trespass, 6:59 p.m.: A man arrested for criminal trespass at Stout Park will also be charged with disorderly conduct.
Saturday, Dec. 8
Fire, 9:05 a.m.: Harbor Fire Department responded to Payne Road.
Fight, 11:19 a.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.
Suspicious conditions, 11:35 a.m.: A caller reported vehicle traffic at a vacant home on Wild Blackberry Road.
Suspicious conditions, 1:52 p.m.: Police investigated a report of a man sitting in his vehicle believed to be doing drugs in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue.
Disorderly conduct, 3:27 p.m.: A 911 call with subjects arguing in the background was received, but nobody spoke to the dispatch operator. The call was transferred to the Curry County Sheriff’s Office and a deputy warned people for disorderly conduct in the 17200 block of Mountain Drive.
Suspicious conditions, 7:02 p.m.: Two men were seen looking in windows of residences on Floral Drive.
Suspicious conditions, 7:04 p.m.: The occupants of a vehicle were warned for after hours parking in the 1000 block of Seventh Street.
Theft, 7:35 p.m.: Police received a report of a dog taken from a neighbor. The dog’s owner was warned about having a dog at large in the 500 block of Ransom Avenue.
Dispute/fight, 8:51 p.m.: A verbal dispute between two teen girls and a parent was reported in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue. The manager at location was afraid the dispute would escalate. The mother was trying to take teens home, but the teens left on foot.
Minor in possession of liquor, 11:24 p.m.: Officers drove by a residence in the 1100 block of Easy Street and saw there were more vehicles there than would be normally and noted minors were on the balcony being loud. Several people were cited for minor in possession and one person was cited for providing premises to minors for alcohol use.
Sunday, Dec. 9
Intoxicated subjects, 12:08 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of two intoxicated women arguing in the 600 block of Old County Road.
Transient information, 6:50 p.m.: An adult male was told to leave McDonald’s after stealing a cup of coffee.
Animal complaint, 7:29 a.m.: Four horses with blankets were loose at Highway 101 and Stateline Road.
Driving complaint, 10:51 a.m.: Officers attempted to locate a red tractor-trailer that was reported to be driving “all over the road” southbound from Ransom Avenue. Local units were unable to find the vehicle. The information was passed along to Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol.
Assault, 11:14 a.m.: A young adult male reported that he had been the victim of verbal harassment from another man in the 700 block of Chetco Avenue.
Driving complaint, 1:05 p.m.: Young people were driving an unlicensed dune buggy on Mill Beach Road and were advised not to do so until they get it licensed.
Burglary, 1:16 p.m.: Police recieved a report of gun theft from a residence in the 97900 block of Lively Lane.
Dispute, 1:19 p.m.: A verbal dispute between neighbors in the 200 block of Cypress Street was resolved civilly after an officer responded.
Intoxicated subject, 3:02 p.m.: An adult male was told to leave his ex-girlfriend’s residence in the 800 block of Pioneer Road.
Driving complaint, 2:52 p.m.: A person was warned for driving his off-road three-wheeler on Parkview Drive.
Assault, 4:23 p.m.: Officers responded to a fight between spouses in the 800 block of Hassett Street.
Shots fired, 8:44 p.m.: A man heard gunshot in the area of Sunshine Cove.
Monday, Dec. 10
Hazard, 7:21 a.m.: A large piece of metal in the northbound lane of Highway 101 near the McVay weigh station was reported.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 8:23 a.m.: An adult male on bicycle hit a semi-truck/trailer coming out of the Fred Meyer parking lot then fled the scene. The bicyclist was subsequently arrested on a pobation violation warrant.
Animal complaint, 12:42 p.m.: A resident in the area of Easy Manor Park was warned for allowing his dogs to defecate in the park and on playground equipment.
Theft of services, 1:12 p.m.: A purple pickup hauling a lawnmower drove off from the 76 Station without paying for $20 worth of gas. A trooper stopped the vehicle near Rainbow Rock condos, and a gas station employee advised they would consider it resolved if they got their gas money. The driver chose to continue driving north and was then stopped by a deputy near Gold Beach. He was issued a citation for theft.
Lost property, 3:47 p.m.: A cell phone was lost at Brookings-Harbor High School.
Possession of drugs, 5:06 p.m.: An adult male was arrested on drug charges in the 800 block of Fawn Drive.
Lost property, 5:32 p.m.: A wallet was lost near 101 Tavern.
Shots fired, 7:04 p.m.: A citizen reported hearing shots fired in the area of Old County Road and Lundeen Lane.
Assault, 10:06 pm.: A man said he had been contacted by a woman unknown to him in the area of Mill Beach who was reporting she had been assaulted by her boyfriend on the beach. A responding officer was initially unable to locate anyone on the beach, then found a male assault victim barely breathing. He was transported to a hospital. The woman and her boyfriend were located in the treeline above the beach. Medics responded for her injuries, but she refused transport, and following the investigation, officers arrested the boyfriend for the assault on both parties.
Dispute/fight, 11:01 p.m.: A woman requested an officer respond to her residence in the 600 block of Old County Road for a family dispute. This was verbal only and was resolved civilly by both parties.
Loud noise, 11:20 p.m.: A resident of Old County Road reported a large group of juveniles playing in KidTown and making a lot of noise.
