Tuesday, July 21 Suspicious conditions, 8:15 a.m.: 900 block of Hidden Court. Criminal mischief, 11:23 a.m.: A vehicle was vandalized while parked in front of a residence in the 600 block of Pioneer Road. Suspicious conditions, 2:23 p.m.: Brookings area. Fraud, 2:40 p.m.: 800 block of Elk Drive. Loud noise, 4:51 p.m.: 1100 block of Rowland Lane. Loud noise, 7:07 p.m.: Police received a complaint about the volume of music at Ken’s Tavern. Fire, 9:05 p.m.: Pistol River area. Criminal mischief, 10:22 p.m.: Two vehicles in Fred Meyer parking lot were vandalized with white chalk. Found property, 10:38 p.m.: 1600 block of Highway 101 North, bicycle. Suspicious conditions, 11:59 p.m.: Witnesses observed two people running from the area of the building in the Azalea Park parking lot.
Wednesday, July 22 Found property, 8:36 a.m.: 500 block of Chetco Avenue, bicycle. Theft, 8:41 a.m.: A teenage boy was seen taking construction signs from Constitution Way and throwing them off the bridge into the river. Fraud, 11:05 a.m.: 1000 block of Chetco Avenue. Theft, 11:25 a.m.: Gas was being siphoned from vehicles in the 500 block of Redwood Street. Theft, 11:38 a.m.: 500 block of Chetco Avenue. Hit and run, 3:38 p.m.: 500 block of Fifth Street. Fraud, 4:32 p.m.: A person reported money missing from a Chetco Federal Credit Union account and suspected identity theft. Traffic crash, 4:28 p.m.: Benham Lane and Highway 101, injury involved. Hazard, 5:04 p.m.: Police received a report of a woman standing in the middle of the road hitchhiking at Highway 101 and Parkview Drive. Fire, 8 p.m.: A small fire was started by a person welding in the 18000 block of Gardiner Ridge Road. Suspicious conditions, 8:20 p.m.: 300 block of Pacific Avenue. Prowler, 9:41 p.m.: 500 block of Fern Avenue. Suspicious conditions, 10:54 p.m.: Police received a report in 99600 block of Winchuck River Road of a man acting like he was going to jump from a bridge, then walked away.
