Tuesday, Aug. 25

Possession of drugs, 2:09 a.m.: Police checked on a 71-year-old man from Dufur sitting in his car in bank parking lot in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue and found he was in possession of methamphetamine. He was arrested and taken to the Curry County Jail.

Hazard, 9:33 a.m.: The fire department responded to a propane tank leak in the 100 block of Seacliff Terrace.

Hazard, 9:41 a.m.: A truck lost its load of hay in the roadway on Highway 101 North. The driver cited for failure to secure load.

Criminal trespass, 12:25 p.m.: Police received a report of juveniles going onto posted private property in the 900 block of Midland Way to play paint ball war.

Criminal trespass, 1:36 p.m.: A transient was told to leave Banana Belt Trading Co. because he had been coming in harassing customers and bothering the bookkeeper.

Bike complaint, 3:18 p.m.: Kids were riding bicycles in skateboard bowls at Bud Cross Park in violation of rules.

Suspicious conditions, 6:37 p.m.: 600 block of Mardon Court.

Found property, 7:18 p.m.: 500 block of Pine Street, string trimmer.

Possession of drugs, 8:21 p.m.: A 36-year-old woman was arrested for violating her probation by consuming alcohol and drugs at Oak Street and Chetco Avenue. She was taken to the Curry County Jail.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

Dispute, 10:00 a.m.: Seventh Street, family dispute.

Welfare check, 1:57 p.m.: 400 block of Pine Street, check on young boy crying in his front yard.

Animal complaint, 9:14 p.m.: A man reported that he accidentally struck and ran over a dog on Hassett Street.

Thursday, Aug. 27

Suspicious conditions, 1:13 a.m.: 16600 block of Foster Road.

Misuse of 911, 9:41 a.m.: 98000 block of West Benham Lane.

Dispute, 11:05 a.m.: Brookings Police Department.

Found property, 1:22 p.m.: Center Street.

Suspicious conditions, 2:50 p.m.: Magnolia Court.

Bike complaint, 3:28 p.m.: Kids were warned for riding bikes in the skate bowl at Bud Cross Park.

Misuse of 911, 5:33 p.m.: 800 block of Easy Street.

Misuse of 911, 6:37 p.m.: 98600 block of Woodriff Lane.

Misuse of 911, 7:16 p.m.: 200 block of Memory Lane.

Found property, 8:33 p.m.: 16200 block of South Highway 101, purse.

Suspicious conditions, 9:08 p.m.: North Bank Chetco River Road.
