Tuesday, Aug. 18 Prowler, 1:27 a.m.: Suspicious sounds were heard in the 500 block of Fir Street. Officers were unable to locate anyone around the house. Suspicious conditions, 2:28 p.m.: Highway 101 and Oak Street, accidental activation of On-Star. Theft, 2:54 p.m.: 700 block of Fifth Street. Theft, 5:31 p.m.: A woman was seen pulling plants from Azalea Park. Criminal mischief, 5:37 p.m.: A man was told not to return to property in the 500 block of Fir Street after he threw blueberries on the walls and door of the residence. Harassment, 5:44 p.m.: A woman reported harassment in the 500 block of Chetco Lane. A man was advised to stop attempting contact by phone or in person. Dispute, 6:53 p.m.: 15700 block of Oceanview Drive. Child abuse, 7:34 p.m.: 96700 block of East Harris Heights Road. Suspicious conditions, 7:52 p.m.: Pioneer Road. Loud noise, 9:51 p.m.: Police received an ongoing loud music complaint from tavern in the 600 block of Chetco Avenue. Child abuse, 10:38 p.m.: 800 block of Elk Drive. Wednesday, Aug. 19 Traffic crash, 8:58 a.m.: Highway 101 and Benham Lane, no injury. Suspicious conditions, 12:08 p.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue, suitcase left in shopping cart. Suspicious conditions, 12:18 p.m.: Suspicious activity was reported in the alley behind a business in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue. Traffic crash, 1:19 p.m.: A city vehicle was hit while parked on private property in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue. Misuse of 911, 4:47 p.m.: 15700 block of Pedrioli Drive. Harassment, 5:33 p.m.: 500 block of Railroad Avenue. Suspicious conditions, 5:57 p.m.: A transient camp was located near Fifth and Railroad streets. The campers were advised to move on. Criminal trespass, 7:58 p.m.: 14700 block of Oceanview Drive. Thursday, Aug. 20 Suspicious conditions, 2:14 a.m.: Two men climbing the cell tower at Railroad Street and Tanbark Road turned out to be repairmen. Theft, 12:47 a.m.: A caretaker reported theft from her client’s home in the 500 block of Railroad Street. Information, 2:56 p.m.: People contacted at Mill and Railroad streets and advised to return a shopping cart they took without permission from a Harbor store. Hazard, 3:22 p.m.: Highway 101 and Zimmerman Lane. Identity theft, 4:08 p.m.: 400 block of Arnold Lane. Suspicious conditions, 4:14 p.m.: Econo-Wash. Shots fired, 4:21 p.m.: South Bank Chetco River Road. Suspicious conditions, 4:47 p.m.: A door to door salesman was contacted in the 800 block of Ransom Avenue regarding needing a business license. Traffic crash, 4:50 p.m.: Near Highway 101 and Lower Harbor Road, no injury. Theft, 5:13 p.m.: Whaleshead Beach. Dead deer, 5:14 p.m.: 300 block of Mill Beach Road. Traffic crash, 5:15 p.m.: Dawson Road and Highway 101, no injury. Drug information, 5:38 p.m.: A man stopped at residence in the 16900 block of Old County Road to ask for water and appeared to be high on drugs. Fire, 6:09 p.m.: Old County Road, non-injury traffic crash, coolant leaking from vehicle. Found property, 7:04 p.m.: Ransom Avenue and Highway 101, credit card. Criminal mischief, 7:34 p.m.: 1000 block of Ruth Lane, youths cutting up a bush. Theft, 9:13 p.m.: 1600 block of Highway 101 North, purse and wallet. |
