Alarm, 9:39 a.m.: 400 block of Mill Beach Road.
Suspicious conditions, 5:08 p.m.: Fifth Street and Chetco Avenue.
Suspicious conditions, 10:04 p.m.: 98100 block of Dana Lane.
Wednesday, Feb. 24
Identity theft, 11:26 a.m.: A man in the 700 block of Cottage Street reported a woman who stayed at his house had stolen some of his personal checks and withdrawn money from his bank account.
Unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, 1:53 p.m.: A woman reported several items missing and presumed stolen from her vehicle at Harris Beach State Park.
Found property: A man’s wallet was found at Fred Meyer. The owner was identified and notified.
Criminal mischief, 2:08 p.m.: A woman in the 800 block of Highland Avenue reported her dog had vomited chicken breast, which she had not fed him. She suspected the meat was tainted or poisoned. No suspect has yet to be identified. Dog and cat owners are cautioned to be watchful for items in their yards that their pets could eat.
Animal complaint, 2:19 p.m.: A woman reported her neighbor’s dog killed one of her chickens. The dog owner in the 1200 block of Ransom Avenue was cited for violating city ordinance failing to maintain control of his dog.
Found property, 3:19 p.m.: Several of the items stolen from the vehicle previously reported were found by park personnel at Harris Beach State Park.
Identity theft, 4:03 p.m.: 17300 block of Blueberry Drive.
Hit and run, 4:09 p.m.: A vehicle ran into and damaged the Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts building. The female driver refused to identify herself and drove away in a white cargo van. An investigation is ongoing, but a suspect has been identified.
Animal complaint, 6:33 p.m.: Police received a report of cows out on the highway just south of Hooskenaden Creek.
Minor in possession of alcohol, 11:18 p.m.: An ambulance was requested for a 20-year-old female who came home intoxicated and was now unresponsive in the 800 block of Pioneer Road. Police responded along with the ambulance and the woman was issued a citation for being a minor in possession of alcohol. She was transported to Curry General Hospital.
