Friday, Aug. 30

Suspicious conditions, 12:25 a.m.: A man in a convenience store in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue attempted to steal merchandise. Police found he was wanted on a Klamath County warrant and transported him to Curry County Jail.

Criminal mischief, 6:13 a.m.: Property damage was discovered at Kalmiopsis Elementary School. School officials are determining the cost of repair.

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 9:51 a.m.: A resident in the 500 block of Fern Avenue reported learning of a financial scam. The caller was not a victim.

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 11:32 a.m.: Chetco Pharmacy and Gifts received a forged prescription.

Dispute/fight, 11:44 a.m.: Officers were unable to locate people who were reported fighting while walking across the Chetco River bridge.

Lost property, 12:04 p.m.: A citizen reported losing a Nintendo game player.

Hazard, 12:36 p.m.: Bicyclists creating a traffic hazard at Chetco and Ransom avenues were told to move on.

Threats, 1:38 p.m.: 98000 block of East Hoffeldt Lane.

Animal complaint, 1:39 p.m.: 900 block of Wharf Street.

Injury traffic crash, 1:51 p.m.: One person was transported to the hospital following a minor traffic crash at Fifth Street and Chetco Avenue.

Driving complaint, 2:27 p.m.: A citizen reported he was nearly run over in the crosswalk at Redwood Theater. An officer warned the driver. The victim did not wish to sign a citation.

Suspicious conditions, 2:40 p.m.: 16200 block of Anderson Lane.

Bike/skateboard complaint, 3:49 p.m.: Two juveniles were warned for riding bikes with no brakes in the 500 block of Hassett Street.

Field interview, 4:26 p.m.: A juvenile riding his bike in the skate bowl was told he may not return for 30 days. Another was warning for having no brakes on his bike. The mother came and picked them up.

Non-injury traffic crash, 5:53 p.m.: A two-vehicle minor fender bender was reported in the 900 block of Third Street. The drivers exchanged information.

Loud noise, 6:09 p.m.: A business signed a noise complaint citation to be served on a neighbor.

Panhandling, 6:48 p.m.: A panhandler at Ray’s Food Place was asked by an employee to leave. When he refused, police arrived and told him to leave.

Bike/skateboard complaint, 7:34 p.m.: An officer contact a parent regarding a problem with juveniles riding a small motorcycle in the neighborhood.

Dispute/fight: 10:27 p.m.: 200 block of Cypress Street.

Saturday, Aug. 31

Driving complaint, 12:15 a.m.: A Curry County sheriff’s deputy arrested a motorist for driving under the influence of intoxicants after police received a report of a vehicle tailgating and swerving on Highway 101 northbound from the state line.

Assist outside agency, 2:21 a.m.: A city police officer backed up a deputy on a dispute call in the 98100 block of West Benham Lane until Oregon State Police could arrive.

Assault, 10:47 a.m.: An adult male was arrested for fourth-degree assault in the 500 block of Fir Street.

Driving complaint, 12:19 p.m.: Highway 101 in Harbor.

Animal complaint, 2:38 p.m.: A citizen reported abandoned animals in the 1100 block of Rowland Lane.

Harassment, 3:41 p.m.: 500 block of Railroad Street.

Driving complaint, 4:17 p.m.: 900 block of Barbara Lane.

Suspicious conditions, 5:34 p.m.: Chetco River bridge.

Driving complaint, 7:25 p.m.: A motorist on Highway 101 northbound from McVay Lane reported a possible drunk driver. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Suspicious conditions, 9:10 p.m.: 96600 block of Johns Place.

Animal complaint, 11:33 p.m.: An ongoing dog-barking problem was reported in the 600 block of Pioneer Road.

Sunday, Sept. 1

Dispute/fight, 1:47 a.m.: 600 block of Chetco Avenue.

Fire, 8:20 a.m.: Harbor Fire Department responded to Sporthaven Beach.

Animal complaint, 10:24 a.m.: Fifth Street and Ransom Avenue.

Panhandling, 10:44 a.m.: Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street.

Animal complaint, 11:48 a.m.: Railroad Street.

Fire, 1:19 a.m.: Harbor Fire responded to the 98700 block of Camellia Drive.

Threats, 2:53 p.m.: 15800 block of Highway 101.

Dispute/fight, 3:10 p.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street.

Hit and run, 4:14 p.m.: Fred Meyer parking lot.

Disorderly conduct, 6:37 p.m.: 15800 block of Highway 101.

Dispute/fight, 6:53 p.m.: 15800 block of Highway 101, same location as previous call.

Loud noise, 7:05 p.m.: Mill Beach Road and Smith Drive.

Driving complaint, 7:10 p.m.: Cape Ferrelo Road.

Suspicious conditions, 7:27 p.m.: 100 block of Park Avenue.

Driving complaint, 7:28 p.m.: 600 block of Old County Road.
