Friday, Sept. 13 

Threats, 1:23 a.m.: The incident reported in the 13100 block of Highway 101, Smith River, was handled by the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office. 

Criminal trespass, 8:59 a.m.: A disorderly man was told he cannot return to any of the Brookings soup kitchens after an incident at Trinity Lutheran Church. 

Assist outside agency, 9:47 a.m.: A Brookings detective came upon an illegal marijuana grow in the 18700 block of Carpenterville Road. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:10 a.m.: A transient man approached a vehicle at Oak and Spruce streets and started talking nonsense. 

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 10:20 a.m.:  A senior citizen in the 400 block of Maple Street was the victim of fraud. 

Bike/skateboard complaint, 3:03 p.m.: An officer gave a teen his last warning for riding his bike without a helmet on Oak Street. 

Harassment, 3:26 p.m.: A case of uncivil words between two young men regarding money owed for a video game was reported at Stout Park. One was warned not to call 911 unless it’s a life-threatening emergency. 

BIke/skateboard complaint, 3:29 p.m.: An adult woman driving recklessly on Marina Heights hit and shattered a mailbox. An officer located the driver, who admitted to hitting the mailbox. She contacted the owner to make restitution and was advised she will be cited for Reckless Driving if this driving behavior continued. 

Threats 5:58 p.m.: 900 block of Helen Lane. 

Bike/skateboard complaint, 6:39 p.m.: 1100 block of Ransom Avenue. 

Driving complaint, 9:19 p.m.: A white crotch rocket-type motorcycle reportedly speeding through Harbor was observed by officers going the speed limit through the city; Highway northbound from Zimmerman Lane. 

Animal complaint, 9:48 p.m.: A complaint was received of three small dogs barking and running loose on Fir Street. An officer was unable to locate any dogs out in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Loud noise, 10:53 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a loud party in the 400 block of Arnold Lane. The occupants did turn the music down but were otherwise uncooperative. The party broke up a short time later.

Brookings police made approximately16 traffic stops including warnings for defective equipment and for speeding. They issued two citations. 

Saturday, Sept. 14 

Dispute/fight, 12:58 a.m.: 16100 block of Wedgewood Lane. 

Alarm, 1:19 a.m.: Officers contacted a male transient who was making himself at home in one of the storage sheds in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:03 a.m.: 16200 block of Highway 101. 

Criminal trespass, 10:07 a.m.: 1200 block of Chetco  Avenue. 

Animal complaint, 10:28 a.m.: 700 block of Pioneer Road. 

Theft, 12:23 p.m.: 100 block of Park Avenue. 

Disorderly conduct, 1:57 p.m.: 1600 block of Highway 101. 

Harassment, 3:02 p.m.: Pacific Avenue and Pioneer Road. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 5:13 a.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.

In addition, Brookings assisted the public on several occasions and made many traffic stops. 

Sunday, Sept. 15

Intoxicated subject, 3:08 a.m.: 500 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Hazard, 5:45 a.m.: 16000 block of Driftwood Lane. 

Reckless endangering, 5:45 a.m.: 1600 block of Highway 101. 

Injury vehicle accident, 8:58 a.m: Highway 101 on Chetco River bridge. 

Lost property, 5:11 p.m.: 600 block of Old County Road. 

Loud noise, 5:37 p.m.:  1200 block of Hub Street. 

Loud noise, 8:05 p.m.: 400 block of Azalea Park Road. 

Loud noise, 8:11 p.m.: 98800 block of Pleasant Hill Drive. 

Found property, 8:48 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.

Monday, Sept. 16 

Possession of drugs, 10:34 a.m: Highway 101 and East Harris Heights Road. 

DUII, 2:29 p.m.: 800 block of Elk Drive.  

Fire, 9:06 p.m.: 16000 block of Boat Basin Road. 

Hazard, 9:19 p.m.: 300 block of Alder Street. 

Injury vehicle accident, 10:27 p.m.: Mountain Drive.
