Tuesday, Oct. 29 

Disorderly conduct, 8:43 a.m.: 1200 block of Iris Street. 

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 10:23 a.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 12:53 p.m.: Fred Meyer. 

Criminal trespass, 1:46 p.m.: 700 block of Third Street. 

Dispute/fight, 6:30 p.m.: 1200 block of Ransom Avenue. 

Hazard, 8:19 p.m.: South Bank Chetco River Road. 

Found property, 9:17 p.m.: 800 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Wednesday, Oct. 30 

Injury vehicle accident, 7:41 a.m.: A single vehicle accident was reported on Winchuck River Road at Peavine Ridge Road. A single occupant was transported to a local hospital. 

Hit and run, 9:17 a.m.: A minor hit-and-run fender bender occurred in the Fred Meyer parking lot. 

Criminal trespass, 11:08 a.m.: A trespassing incident was reported in the 97800 block of Shopping Center Avenue. 

Animal complaint, noon: A mortally wounded deer was dispatched by an officer and picked up by Public Works in the 800 block of Fawn Drive. 

Hazard, 6 p.m.: Officers checked on a reported hazard at Alder Street and Memory Lane.

Non-injury vehicle accident, 6:27 p.m.: A two-vehicle fender-bender was reported in the 500 block of Spruce Street. Officers assisted parties with information exchange because their discussion became heated. 

Animal complaint, 8:53 p.m.: Two Great Dane dogs reportedly at large near Azalea Park. The owner apparently corralled them before officers could find the dogs. 

Warrant service, 11:47 p.m.: A transient male was contacted by officers at the storage sheds, near Carpenter Auto, where he had attempted to make camp for the night. He was arrested on a valid circuit court warrant and transported to jail. 

Thursday, Oct. 31

Suspicious conditions 1:12 a.m.: A citizen in the 700 block of Pioneer Road reported a trash can knocked over. Officers couldn’t find anything suspicious.

Suspicious conditions, 10:22 a.m.: A possibly deceased person inside a vehicle in the Fred Meyer parking lot turned out to only be sleeping.

Animal complaint, 11:39 a.m.: 1200 block of Easy Street.

Theft, 2 p.m.: A bicycle was reported stolen from a bike rack near Brookings Presbyterian Church.

Animal complaint, 2:40 p.m.: 400 block of Arnold Lane.

Violation of city ordinance, 4:32 p.m.: Bicyclists reported in the skate bowl were gone when police arrived.

Criminal mischief, 4:44 p.m.: Criminal mischief was done to a vehicle in the 600 block of Easy Street.

Traffic stop, 6:30 p.m.: An officer contacted the driver of a vehicle that was smoking severely near Fifth Street and Chetco Avenue. The driver stopped at a gas station to check the problem.

Suspicious conditions, 7:45 p.m.: 97900 block of Shopping Center Avenue.

Warrant service, 8:37 p.m.: An adult male was arrested on Highway 101 on a Circuit Court warrant and transported to jail. An officer delivered the man’s bicycle to his mother’s house for safekeeping.

Suspicious conditions, 10:30 p.m. Officers checked on several reports of shots heard in the Krista Lane, Meadow Lane and Rowland Lane areas.

Minor in possession of alcohol, 11 p.m.: A minor was cited for possession of alcohol and less than an ounce of marijuana after passing out in the restroom of McDonald’s and then in the bushes near Onion Grill. He was also warned for criminal trespassing.
