Field interview, 3:06 a.m.: An adult man was riding his skateboard down the middle of Chetco Avenue near Ransom Avenue. He was told not to do it.
Criminal trespassing, 10:47 a.m.: An elderly woman was trespassing at a business in the 600 block of Railroad Street. She was transported to a hospital for evaluation.
Hit and run, 11:35 a.m.: 500 block of Chetco Avenue.
Animal complaint, 11:46 a.m.: A man walking in the 400 block of Maple Street was approached by two dogs he believed were vicious. The dog’s owner took possession of them without incident.
Loud noise, 1:38 p.m.: Loud music was coming from an apartment in the 600 block of Fifth Street.
Injury traffic crash, 2:59 p.m.: Harbor Fire, Cal-Ore Life Flight and a Curry County sheriff’s deputy responded to a three-vehicle crash at Highway 101 and Zimmerman Lane.
Theft, 3:17 p.m.: Officers investigating a criminal mischief report attempted to find a juvenile suspect at Azalea Middle School.
Suspicious conditions, 4:18 p.m.: A citizen reported a man carrying a rifle and walking two pit bulls. The gun was an air rifle. No crime.
Fire, 5:52 p.m.: Harbor Fire Department responded to the 99800 block of Donna Lane.
Loud noise, 6:55 p.m.: Loud music was coming from an apartment in the 600 block of Fifth Street.
Brookings police dealt with only one traffic stop resulting in a warning for speed. Dispatchers were busy with ambulance calls.
Wednesday, May 15
Theft, 12:34 p.m.: 1300 block of English Court.
Panhandling, 2:01 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Loud noise, 4:33 p.m.: Loud music was coming from an apartment in the 600 block of Fifth Street.
Dispute/fight, 4:59 p.m.: A verbal domestic dispute between two adult family members was reported in the 800 block of Ransom Avenue. Both people separated for the remainder of the day.
Child neglect, 5:45 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Driving complaint, 8:25 p.m.: A complaint was received of a truck carrying wood chips with no tarp or tie-down heading toward Brookings and the wood chips were blowing all over Highway 101 near Carpenterville Road. The truck was pulled over by Brookings police until Oregon State Police arrived to conduct a truck inspection.
Threats, 8:25 p.m.: A caller reported that she felt threatened three weeks earlier by an employee at a business in the 16200 block of Highway 101.
Threats, 9:51 p.m.: An employee of a business in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue reported she had been threatened by a man with a Maglight after she refused to sell him alcohol because of his level of intoxication.
Animal complaint, 11:08 p.m.: A third-party call was received regarding a number of cattle in the road near Euchre Creek.
Driving complaint, 11:47 p.m.: A citizen flagged an officer to advise of a driving complaint while on their way home from Gold Beach.
Brookings police dealt with several alarms during the morning hours, a welfare check and a suicidal person.
Thursday, May 16
Non-injury traffic crash, 1:09 a.m.: A truck and trailer was reported in the ditch on Cape Ferrelo Road just off Highway 101. There was no one around the truck and there was no lane blockage.
Juvenile problem, 9:47 a.m.: A caller reported a group of school-aged children were trespassing on property off Fern Avenue and smoking cigarettes.
Fire, 11:02 a.m.: Harbor Fire Department responded to the 16100 block of Lower Harbor Road.
Misuse of 911, 11:07 a.m.: Azalea Middle School.
Suspicious conditions, 11:58 a.m.: 1200 block of Chetco Avenue.
Harassment, 2:48 p.m.: Azalea Middle School.
Fire, 2:58 p.m.: Mill Beach.
Animal complaint, 3:55 p.m.: Ransom Avenue.
Theft, 4:04 p.m.: 300 block of Mill Beach Road.
Illegal camping, 5:29 p.m.: Macklyn Cove.
Dispute/fight, 5:47 p.m.: 98600 block of Seahorse Lane.
Disorderly conduct, 6:36 p.m.: A man was reportedly yelling and gesturing at passing cars in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue. Police warned him for disorderly conduct.
Lost subject, 7:32 p.m.: A lost elderly man was safely returned home in the 200 block of Del Norte Lane.
Field interview, 10:37 p.m.: People in two cars parked in the day-use area at Harris Beach State Park agreed to leave.
Unknown problem, 11:05 a.m.: Police received a report of a woman in a motel room in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue who as crying continuously for two hours. The woman told police she had consumed a large amount of alcohol and added there was no other problem. She agreed to keep her crying volume down for the rest of the evening.
Warrant service, 11:31 p.m.: A traffic stop at Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street resulted in the arrest of a woman for two out-of-area warrants. She was transported to Curry County Jail.
Brookings police made several traffic stops.
