Tuesday, March 4 

Hit and run, 3:52 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Found property, 4:17 p.m.: 17200 block of Parkview Drive. 

Criminal mischief, 4:53 p.m.: 500 block of Fern Avenue. 

Suspicious conditions, 9:18 p.m.: Authorities received two reports of flares seen over the ocean near the Oregon/California border. U.S. Coast Guard stations Chetco River and Humboldt Bay were notified as well as both Del Norte and Curry county sheriff’s departments.

Brookings police made 10 traffic stops, resulting in five citations. 

Wednesday, March 5 

Harassment, 9:59 a.m.: Officer assisted citizen with a harassment complaint, 200 block of Cypress Street. 

Theft, 4:17 p.m.: A scooter was stolen from near the library while its owner was taking a class. 

Hazard, 8:59 p.m.: A citizen had a bag stolen from the cargo hold of a bus somewhere between Medford and Brookings. 

Field interview; 11:13 p.m.: An officer made contacted three young adults in a vehicle parked at Azalea Middle School after hours. They told him they were looking for their friend on Pioneer Road, but didn’t have an address. They moved along.

Thursday, March 6

Warrant service, 3:38 a.m.: A woman was arrested on Mill Beach on a Coos Bay warrant charging resisting arrest.

Criminal trespass, 7:51 a.m.: 1000 block of Chetco Avenue.

Open door, 2:16 p.m.: 1200 block of Iris Street.

Criminal trespass, 5:32 p.m.: 400 block of Pacific Avenue.

Juvenile problem, 6:20 p.m.: Pacific Bridges Alternative School.

Prowler, 7:59 p.m.: 17700 block of Rainbow Rock Road.

Found property, 8:30 p.m.: Brookings.
