Tuesday, March 25
Hazard, 8:10 a.m.: Highway 101 at Harris Beach.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 8:26 a.m.: A crash involving two passenger trucks was reported in the 15600 block of Highway 101. The vehicles were moved off the highway.
Hit and run, 8:59 a.m.: A vehicle was sideswiped in the 600 block Chetco Avenue causing more than $1,500 worth of damage.
Found property, 3:22 p.m.: South Bank Chetco River Road.
Criminal mischief, 4 p.m.: 700 block of Second Street.
Custodial interference 8:02 p.m.: Reported at 800 block of Elk Drive.
Brookings police made four traffic stops, resulting only in warnings issued to motorists.
Wednesday, March 26
Hazard, 7:44 a.m.: 1000 block of Chetco Avenue.
Theft, 10:08 a.m.: The theft of mushrooms from an unlocked trailer in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue was reported.
Assist outside agency, 12:51 p.m.: A K-9 unit and officer assisted Del Norte sheriff’s office in a search for walkaway inmate from Alder Conservation Camp.
Dispute/fight, 1:52 p.m.: A dispute in a vehicle on South Indian Road in Smith River was reported.
Suspicious conditions, 3:10 p.m.: Railroad Street.
Suspicious conditions, 8:53 p.m.: A call from Elk Valley Road was transferred to Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office.
Criminal trespass, 8:59 p.m.: Officer assisted resident with verbally trespassing a juvenile from her home; 500 block of Pacific Avenue.
Suspicious conditions, 9:54 p.m.: 14500 block of Oceanview Drive in Smith River.
Brookings police made three traffic stops.
Thursday, March 27
Non-injury traffic crash, 12:05 a.m.: Cape Ferrelo Fire units responded to the report of a single-vehicle accident 1 1/2 miles up Cape Ferrelo Road. The vehicle was unoccupied. Oregon State Police investigated because there was no deputy available.
Suspicious conditions, 9:09 a.m.: 600 block of Chetco Ave.
Theft, 12:14 p.m.: Someone used another person’s credit card to purchase items.
Suspicious conditions, 12:48 p.m.: Police investigated a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood of Collis and Truman lanes. The vehicle’s occupants were handing out cards to promote their business.
Disorderly conduct, 4:32 p.m.: An man was arrested for disorderly conduct after fighting with his apartment manager in the 6500 block of Lucky Lane.
Disorderly conduct, 5:15 p.m.: 16200 block of Highway 101.
Non-injury traffic crash, 6:37 p.m.: A man was cited for careless driving following a collision on Highway 101 south of Harris Beach.
Brookings police made eight traffic stops resulting in three citations including no operator license, 35 in a 25 mph zone and 85 in a 55 zone.
