Friday, March 14
Suspicious conditions, 6:21 a.m.: 1100 block of Sandy Lane.
Threats, 9:59 a.m.: 500 block of Pacific Avenue.
Theft of services, 10:09 a.m.: 600 block of Old County Road.
Threats, 10:56 a.m.: A student who made threats to a staff member at Kalmiopsis Elementary School was suspended.
Theft, 12:36 p.m.: An officer took information about a bicycle stolen from the 500 block of Pacific Avenue.
Lost property, 2:46 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Counterfeit, 2:53 p.m.: Counterfeit money that was received at a yard sale was turned over to Brookings police.
Suspicious conditions, 9:05 p.m.: Northwest from 98000 block of West Benham Lane.
Possession of drugs, 10:14 p.m.: A driver was cited for less than 1 ounce marijuana at Chetco Avenue and Willow Street.
Vehicle impounded, 11:07 a.m.: A vehicle was impounded on a routine traffic stop after the driver was found to have no insurance nor an operator license on Chetco Avenue.
Brookings police made 10 traffic stops, resulting in five citations.
Saturday, March 15
Warrant service, 12:36 a.m.: A group of young adults was contacted at Mill Beach and a man was arrested on a warrant out of Jackson County and transported to jail.
Possession of drugs, 12:36 a.m.: A young adult female was cited for possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana, which was seized and destroyed, at Mill Beach.
Found property, 5:12 a.m.: 1100 block of Ransom Avenue.
Lost property, 12:29 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 2:30 p.m.: 600 block of Fifth Street.
Assault, 4:16 p.m.: The victim of an assault that occurred in the county the previous night was at Curry Medical Center, but declined to press charges.
Hit and run, 7:15 p.m.: A citizen reported hit and run damage done to her vehicle in the 99200 block of Overlook Road.
Shots fired, 9:15 p.m.: Smith River.
Suspicious conditions, 9:51 p.m.: A citizen reported a suspicious van and people in the 400 block of Spruce Street. Officers contacted two men who had just finished surfing at the beach and were making hot cocoa on their portable stove. They said they would move along afterward.
Brookings police made nine traffic stops resulting in five citations.
Sunday, March 16
Dispute/fight, 1:17 a.m.: Officers responded to a report of a verbal dispute at a residence in the 800 block of Pioneer Road. No crime was committed. The parties agreed to stay separated for the night.
Dispute/fight, 8:01 a.m.: 14400 block of Highway 101.
Found property, 10:15 a.m.: Oceanview Drive.
Suspicious conditions, 10:58 a.m.: Fifield Street.
Theft, 11:11 a.m. 1200 block of Chetco Avenue.
Dispute/fight, 6:14 p.m.: 800 block of Joshua Court.
Found property, 7:11 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Harassment, 10:22 p.m.: 800 block of Elk Drive.
Brookings police made eight traffic stops, resulting in two citations.
Monday, March 17
Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 8 p.m.: 300 block of Oak Street.
Warrant service, 8:54 a.m.: An adult female came into Brookings Police Department lobby to turn herself in on a Curry County warrant. She was transported to Curry County Jail.
Criminal mischief, 9:20 a.m.: 800 block of Railroad Street.
Intoxicated subject, 1:44 p.m.: Park Avenue.
Child neglect, 2:45 p.m.: A citizen was concerned about a child left in a running vehicle for a short amount of time in the 400 block of Oak Street. The vehicle was gone upon officer arrival.
Suspicious conditions, 4:23 p.m.: 600 block of Old County Road.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 4:53 p.m.: A stolen vehicle was recovered by officers at Chetco Point.
Warrant service, 7:32 p.m.: Officers arrested an adult man in the 300 block of Chetco Avenue for a Curry County warrant. He was transported to Curry County Jail.
Dispute/fight, 11:56 a.m.: 16000 block of Boat Basin Road.
Brookings police made nine traffic stops, resulting in three citations.
