Wednesday, Feb. 25
Suspicious conditions, 1:11 a.m.: 600 block of Fifth Street.
Dispute/fight, 1:21 a.m.: Police responded to a report of a verbal dispute in the 200 block of Spruce Drive. Both parties separated for the night.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 3:10 a.m.: A single vehicle accident with no injuries was reported in the 16400 block of Highway 101.
Suspicious conditions, 4:01 a.m.: Spruce Street.
Criminal mischief, 5:45 a.m.: 500 block of Fern Avenue.
Criminal mischief, 5:56 a.m.: Police investigated a report of vandalism that had occurred to multiple vehicles in the area of the 700 block of Second Street.
Counterfeit, 8:40 a.m.: 400 block of Chetco Avenue.
Found property, 10:38 a.m.: 500 block of Fifth Street.
Traffic stop, 11:22 a.m.: Cite: speed 47 mph in 35 mph zone; Chetco Avenue and Parkview Drive.
Theft, 11:33 a.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Theft, 12:57 p.m.: 96300 block of Dawson Road.
Bike/skateboard complaint, 4:50 p.m.: 1100 block of Ransom Avenue.
Fire, 5:38 p.m.: A caller reported possible flames coming from a smoke stack at the mill. Brookings Fire responded and concluded it was light showing through the smoke.
Harassment, 6:13 p.m.: 600 block of Pioneer Road.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 8:14 a.m.: A minor traffic crash was reported in the drive-thru at Dairy Queen. All parties exchanged information.
Assault, 9:50 p.m.: 00100 block of North Bank Chetco River Road.
Threats, 10:43 p.m.: Police received a report of threats being made in the 17500 block of Highway 101 in Smith River. The call was transferred to the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office.
Brookings police made 12 traffic stops resulting in seven citations.
Wednesday, Feb. 26
Dispute/fight, 1:38 a.m.: 16000 block of Boat Basin Road.
Illegal camping, 3:54 a.m.: 700 block of Elk Drive.
Illegal camping, 11:56 a.m.: 200 block of Wharf Street.
Criminal trespass, 12:18 a.m.: A caller reported a trespasser on private property in the 16000 block of Boat Basin Road.
Dispute/fight, 12:38 p.m.: County responded to a verbal dispute at Rite Aid.
Criminal trespass, 1:32 p.m.: 400 block of Fern Avenue.
Suspicious conditions, 1:35 p.m.: North of town.
Theft, 2:59 p.m.: A citizen reported the theft of a camera from a residence in the 300 block of Lundeen Lane.
Dispute/fight, 3:32 p.m.: 95900 block of Sundown Drive.
Fire, 3:27 p.m.: Brookings Fire units responded to the 98300 block North Bank Chetco River Road.
Hit and run, 5:021 p.m.: 95700 block of Garrett Lane.
Criminal mischief, 5:07 p.m.: A pedestrian jumped onto a vehicle stopped at an intersection in the 500 block of the 500 block of Fir Street, then yelled at the driver that she had hit him. There was vehicle damage but the pedestrian walked away and couldn’t be located by the responding officer.
Suspicious conditions, 6:21 p.m.: A man was reportedly jumping out into traffic on Highway 101 near milepost 360 in Harbor.
Fire, 6:46 p.m.: A citizen reported lots of smoke upriver; Coos Forest Patrol was notified.
Brookings police made 11 traffic stops, resulting in seven citations.
Thursday, Feb. 27
Suspicious conditions, 1:34 a.m.: 97000 block of Park Lane.
Prowler, 6:11 a.m.: A citizen reported a prowler on her property in the 700 block of Second Street. Officers were unable to locate the man who was reportedly wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Search warrant, 11:21 a.m.: 97800 block of Court Street.
Animal complaint, 6:06 p.m.: 1200 block of West Mar Vista Lane.
Fire, 6:18 p.m.: 300 block of Mill Beach Road.
Lost property, 7:08 p.m.: 17200 block of Lumberview Drive.
Warrant service, 7:40 p.m.: An adult male was arrested in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue on two warrants and transported to jail.
Fire, 8:19 p.m. A citizen inquired about a fire burning on the hillside about their house on Pleasant Hill Drive. Coos Forest believed it was a slash burn and not a danger because of recent wet weather.
Brookings police made one traffic stop resulting in a citation.
