Suspicious conditions, 9:10 a.m.: 900 block of Wharf Street.
Disorderly conduct, 10:59 a.m.: A woman was warned for disorderly conduct in the 700 block of Second Street.
Unlawful entry of a motor vehicle, 11:31 a.m.: A vehicle break-in was reported at Point St. George in Crescent City. The call was transferred to Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office.
Disorderly conduct, 12:29 p.m.: A woman was warned again for disorderly conduct in the 700 block of Second Street.
Juvenile problem, 2:39 p.m.: Pine Street.
Disorderly conduct, 2:48 p.m.: Two men waiting at the bus stop near Bankus Fountain were warned for disorderly conduct after they were observed kicking the glass, yelling and cursing.
Threats, 4:18 p.m.: 16200 block of Highway 101.
Dispute/fight, 5:19 p.m.: A fight involving five people was reported at the bus stop at Bankus Fountain. Four left the area by taxi.
Hazard, 6:28 p.m.: Oak and Railroad streets.
Bike/skateboard complaint, 7:05 p.m.: A verbal warning was given to a bicyclist for not wearing a helmet and failure to yield when entering roadway at Weaver Lane and Hassett Street.
Disorderly conduct, 7:19 p.m.: A woman was once again warned for disorderly conduct in the 700 block of Second Street. She stated she would be heading home.
Disorderly conduct, 9:42 p.m.: Another complaint regarding disorderly woman was reported in the 700 block of Second Street.
Brookings police made seven traffic stops, resulting in five citations.
Thursday, June 5
Suspicious conditions, 4:31 a.m.: Winchuck River Road.
Hit and run: 9:20 a.m.: A citizen reported damage to her vehicle while parked at Fred Meyer on May 15.
Lost property, 9:32 a.m.: 900 block of Third Street.
Fire, 11:23 a.m.: Brookings Fire units extinguised a small fire on a porch in the 600 block of Easy Street.
Animal complaint, 11:45 a.m.: 800 block of Railroad Street.
Animal complaint, 12:15 a.m.: 500 block of Fifth Street.
Loitering, 12:39 p.m.: A man was warned for loitering on private property in front of a business in the 1000 block of Chetco Avenue.
Fire, 2:23 p.m.: A Brookings fire unit noticed and checked on a fire in a compost bucket in the 300 block of Memory Lane. The Brookings fire chief is going to speak to the residents.
Lost property, 2:43 p.m. A wallet was either lost or stolen in Harbor.
Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 4:25 a.m.: A purse was taken from a vehicle at Crissey Field State Park.
Hazard, 5:25 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Suspicious conditions, 5:28 p.m.: Bud Cross Park.
Criminal mischief, 7:08 p.m.: A citizen in the 200 block of Cypress Street reported a fence was kicked down, but there were no witnesses. An investigation determined it may have been from rotting wood and wind.
Driving while suspended, 8:43 p.m.: During a routine traffic stop in the 400 block of Chetco Ave., an officer noticed the odor of marijuana in the vehicle. A search produced less than an ounce of marijuana and two smoking devises. Neither the driver nor passenger had a driver license, and the passenger was wanted on a warrant. The vehicle was impounded and the occupants were cited.
Suspicious conditions, 9:17 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Driving complaint, 10 p.m.: A driver who was reportedly driving under the inluence of intoxicants on Mill Beach Road was found to not be impaired.
Dispute/fight, 10:37 p.m.: 99200 block of Winchuck River Road.
Suspicious conditions, 11:29 p.m.: A male transient was warned for making unwanted contact with two girls in front of Brookings-Harbor High School. The man was given directions to a friend’s house and was sent on his way.
DUII, 11:58 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle that nearly crashed in front of him after swerving multiple times on Highway 101 near Harris Heights. The male driver was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and released to a sober friend.
Brookings police made 14 traffic stops resulting in four citations and two arrests.
