Tuesday, July 2

Dispute/fight, 12:42  a.m.:700 block of Pioneer Road. 

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 7:56 a.m.: A man reported his girlfriend had taken his vehicle without permission. When police found her in the 1600 block of Chetco Avenue, she was cited for driving while suspended, but then the man decided not to press charges for unauthorized use of vehicle. 

Suspicious conditions, 9:13 a.m.: A citizen in the 400 block of Knoll Lane reported problems with a neighbor trespassing. 

Found property, 10:38 a.m.: A  wallet that had been found was turned in to the police department and returned to its owner. 

Littering, 12:10 p.m.: Discarded tires were blocking access in the 98100 block of North Bank Chetco River Road. 

Harassment, 12:19 p.m.: A citizen reported ongoing harassment from a neighbor in the 96400 block of Oceanside East Drive, but stated she will be moving soon. 

Theft, 12:35 p.m.: Rented property was not returned to a rental agency in the 600 block of Fleet Street. 

Field interview, 1:31 p.m.: A person setting up outside the post office advised he will not block passersby as he exercises his First Amendment right. 

Fire, 2:05 p.m.: Brookings Fire extinguished a fire in the 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Criminal mischief,  11:29 a.m.: A citizen in the 500 block of Art Street reported male juveniles attempting to enter a vehicle. It turned out to be a misunderstanding.

Wednesday, July 3

Warrant service, 12:09 a.m.: A routine traffic stop of a vehicle with no taillights resulted in the driver arrested for a warrant and cited for having 9-10 pounds of marijuana in a large garbage bag. Two passengers were cited for possession of marijuana and hash as well.

Suspicious conditions, 5:19 a.m.: 17700 block of Gardner Ridge Road.

Criminal mischief, 6:22 a.m.: 16000 block of Boat Basin Road.

Animal complaint, 9:05 a.m.: 500 block of Hemlock Street.

Fire, 9:06 a.m.: 500 block of Fir Street.

Hit and run, 1:40 p.m.: 700 block of Chetco Avenue.

Theft, 4:26 p.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue.

Suspicious conditions, 5:19 p.m.: North Bank Chetco River Road.

Violation of a restraining order, 6 p.m.: 16300 block of Highway 101.

Suspicious conditions, 8:13 p.m.: 300 block of Cove Road.

Illegal fireworks, 11:01 p.m.: 900 block of Helen Lane.

Thursday, July 4

Suspicious conditions, 1:45 a.m.: 300 block of Matot Street.

Suspicious conditions, 01300 block of Winchuck River Road.

Hazard, 12:31 p.m.: 16100 block of Highway 101.

Welfare check, 1:29 p.m.: A child sleeping in a car with the windows open while the parents were in a fireworks stand in the 97900 block of Shopping Center Avenue caused concern. A deputy contacted the parents.

Field interview, 1:46 p.m.: Two people were contacted in the 400 block of Chetco Avenue and found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, which was seized.

Dispute/fight, 5:04 p.m.: Pioneer Road.

Suspicious conditions, 6:30 p.m.: Bridge Street.

Hazard, 7:16 p.m.: 16500 block of Foster Road.

Illegal fireworks, 8:46 p.m.: 1200 block of Moore Street.

Illegal fireworks, 9:13 p.m.: Seacliff Terrace.

Illegal fireworks, 10:09 p.m.: 1300 block of Crissey Circle.

Animal complaint, 10:24 p.m.: Kevin Place.

Illegal fireworks, 11:54 p.m.: 1100 block of Rowland Lane.
