Friday, Aug. 2 

Hazard, 9:25 p.m.: Highway 101 and Carpenterville Road. 

Lost property, 9:44 a.m.: 700 block of Easy Street. 

Harassment, 3:44 p.m.: 400 block of Alder Street. 

Dispute/fight, 8:54 p.m.: Brookings area. 

Loud noise, 9:19 p.m.: Del Norte Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:22 p.m.: 500 block of Fir Street. 

Possession of drugs, 10:22 p.m.: Chetco Avenue and Willow Street. 

Saturday, Aug. 3 

Dispute/fight, 12:16 a.m.: 97800 block of Court Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 9:21 a.m.: Police talked to an adult male transient at the art festival at Stout Park. 

Theft, 11:37 a.m.: 97900 block of Hall Way. 

Suspicious conditions, 2:18 p.m.: A citizen watched a walker point a gun over the bridge. It was a pellet gun he had just purchased and the barrel was broken down. No crime. 

Attempt to locate, 2:36 p.m.: A citizen in the 400 block of Fir Street reported the location of a possible wanted subject, but officers were unable to locate the person, and he did not have a valid warrant on file. 

Fire, 4:10 p.m.: A Coos Forest Patrol unit checked on the report of a fire approximately 5 miles up South Bank Chetco River Road, but they were unable to locate any fire. 

Loud noise, 4:52 p.m.: A caller reported automatic weapons fire in the county. 

Hit and run, 4:16 p.m.: Witnesses to an incident which occurred in Fred Meyer parking lot provided information so that parties could reach a civil compromise. 

Fire, 6:32 p.m.: Coos Forest Patrol and Brookings Fire units checked on a fire at the North Jetty. 

Illegal fireworks, 9:33 p.m.: Multiple business line and 911 reports were received reporting loud fireworks coming from the area of the North Jetty waking children and upsetting animals and people. An officer contacted two males on the beach below Memory Lane and confiscated their illegal fireworks and given a warning for disorderly conduct. 

Harassment, 11:18 p.m.: 500 block of Railroad Street. 

Sunday, Aug. 4 

Suspicious conditions, 10:10 a.m.: 1100 block of Rowland Lane. 

Harassment, 10:23 a.m.: An officer provided restraining order packet to a citizen in the 500 block of Railroad Street who has an ongoing issue with harassment from another person. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 11:36 a.m.: A two vehicle minor traffic accident was reported at Highway 101 and Pelican Bay Drive. Because there was no trooper or deputy on duty, medics responded only, but neither driver was transported. 

Driving while suspended, 2:30 p.m.: An officer located a vehicle at Chetco Avenue and Arnold Lane reportedly in a driving complaint case from California. The driver was cited for misdemeanor driving while suspended. 

Driving while suspended, 3:36 p.m.: During a routine traffic stop in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue, a driver was cited for misdemeanor DWS. A valid driver took over driving responsibilities. 

Suspicious conditions, 6:36 p.m.:16000 block of Carson Lane. 

Dispute/fight, 10:09 p.m.: 16200 block of Lower Harbor Road. 

Monday, Aug. 5 

Assist outside agency, 12:13 a.m.: Officers attempted to assist a park ranger in contacting several men on the beach at Harris Beach State Park, but they scattered before contact. 

Warrant service, 10:41 a.m.: An adult female on Spruce Street was arrested on a Curry County Circuit Court warrant for felony harassment and was transported to the jail. 

Misuse of 911, 11:35 a.m.: An 8-year-old child playing with her dad’s phone dialed 911 and was counseled by her dad regarding misusing 911.

Criminal mischief, 1:46 p.m.: West Benham Lane and Lower Harbor Road. 

Found property, 1:50 p.m.: A wallet found in the 400 block of Buena Vista Loop was turned in to Brookings Police Department and later picked up by its owner. 

Animal complaint, 3:26 p.m.: Dogs reportedly chasing deer on Marina Heights Road could not be located by an officer. 

Suspicious conditions, 4:05 p.m.: An officer assisted citizen in the 300 block of Matot Street with a telephonic harassment case. 

Hit and run, 6:01 p.m.: A citizen reported a hit and run of her vehicle in a parking lot at Fern Street and Chetco Avenue. The incident occurred some time in the last two weeks and was reported for insurance purposes. 

Dispute/fight, 6:17 p.m.: A verbal altercation between an adult male and juvenile male was reported in the 800 block of Chetco Avenue. An officer was unable to locate the juvenile. 

Illegal fireworks, 8:59 p.m.: Loud fireworks were reported in the area of Del Norte Lane.
