Field interview, 1:46 a.m.: A woman was arrested for a theft case in the 500 block of Chetco Avenue and transported to jail.
Fire, 7:35 a.m.: Brookings police responded to the 500 block of Fifth Street.
Attempt to locate, 9:39 a.m.: A woman with a warrant was reported to be at a residence in the 200 block of Cyperss Street, but officers could not locate her.
Dispute/fight, 12:16 p.m.: Officers responded to a verbal dispute in the 400 block of Pacific Avenue. The people were separated and information was provided regarding restraining orders.
Suspicious conditions, 1:15 p.m.: Chetco River bridge.
Fire, 1:35 p.m.: A small fire in a field was put out by Brookings Fire and citizens at Memory Lane and Alder Street.
Suspicious conditions 2:32 p.m.: Highway 101 at Pistol River.
Suspicious conditions, 3:53 p.m.: 600 block of Old County Road.
Suspicious conditions, 7:44 p.m.: An unknown vehicle was parked in a citizen’s driveway in the 1200 block of Mar Vista Lane. An officer located the owner, who moved her car.
Recovery of stolen vehicle, 9:01 p.m.: A vehicle that had been reported stolen was located in the 500 block of Hassett Street.
Incomplete call, 10:21 p.m.: An abandoned 911 call was returned and caller admitted there had been a verbal dispute between her and her significant other but denied the need for police response. Per policy, officers contacted the caller and her husband in the 17100 block of Ocean Park Drive and found that the situation had calmed down.
Dispute/fight, 10:32 p.m.: A husband and wife camping at Harris Beach State Park had a verbal dispute but told officers they would calm down and cooperate for the night.
Brookings police made 16 traffic stops, resulting in 12 citations.
Saturday, Aug. 2
Shots fired, 1:25 a.m.: A citizen reported hearing what she thought was a gunshot in the 400 block of Fir Street. Officers were unable to locate a source or hear anything while in the area.
Loud noise, 2:05 a.m.: Loud yelling, racial slurs, and firecrackers were reportedly coming from an apartment complex in the 700 block of Chetco Avenue. Officers found the area quiet on arrival.
Disorderly conduct, 2:20 a.m.: A group of four people walking down Pacific Avenue were contacted by officers after being reported as loud and disorderly. A man was given a warning for disorderly conduct and the others went in to a nearby residence. The man left the area in a taxi.
Suspicious conditions, 2:33 a.m.: A suspicious vehicle with bright lights shining into caller’s residence was reported in the 500 block of Art Street. This was an officer’s patrol vehicle.
Criminal trespass, 3:12 a.m.: A homeowners association of a condo complex in the 100 block of Schooner Bay Drive is having an ongoing problem with people gaining access to their private gazebo.
Found property, 9:51 a.m.: 800 block of Chetco Avenue.
Dispute/fight, 11:06 a.m.: Officers responded to a dispute between a married couple in the 600 block of Hassett Street. The man had left in a vehicle upon their arrival, and the woman was concerned for her safety. The man was not located in the area.
Found property, 12:40 p.m.: A wallet found in the Dawson Tract turned in to the police department was reclaimed by its owner.
Power outage, 1:40 p.m.: Benham Lane and Highway 101.
Power outage, 1:40 p.m.: 98000 block of Gerlach Lane.
Assist public, 1:45 p.m.: Officer provided assistance to a woman in a wheelchair who was stuck in rocks near Rogue Credit Union in Brookings. She was able to continue on her way.
Theft, 1:59 p.m.: A juvenile’s bike was reported stolen from McDonald’s but was later located by an officer and returned to its rightful owner.
Criminal trespass, 4:19 p.m.: Awoman who had been told told never to return to Fred Meyer in 2011 was caught on video in the store. An officer cited her for second-degree criminal mischief. She was also given a verbal warning for an expired license.
Fire, 4:31 p.m.: Harbor and Brookings fire units responded to a boat fire at Port of Brookings Harbor boat launch area. It was fully engulfed and was destroyed, but fire personnel were able to extinguish the fire.
Harassment 4:48 p.m.: A citizen reported being threatened by a group of juveniles while at Azalea Park. They were just playing loudly.
Brookings police made 10 traffic stops, resulting in four citations.
Sunday, Aug. 3
Water problem, 2:20 a.m.: 17000 block of Parkview Drive.
Field interview, 3:34 a.m.: A woman in her vehicle was warned for being in in the Harris Beach State Park day-use area after hours.
Suspicious conditions, 9:38 a.m.: 900 block of Chetco Avenue.
Intoxicated subject, 12:57 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.
Suspicious conditions, 1:16 p.m.: Third Street and Ransom Avenue.
Dispute/fight, 3:23 p.m.: 400 block of Fir Street.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 7:07 p.m.: North Bank Chetco River Road at Joe Hall Creek.
Suspicious conditions, 7:24 p.m.: 16200 block of Highway 101.

Minor in possession of liquor, 12:37 a.m.: A juvenile who was knocking on the wrong apartment door in the 700 block of Old County Road was cited for minor in possession and released to a sober parent.
Explosion, 12:50 a.m.: Near Azalea Park.
