Friday, Aug. 22

Suspicious conditions, 5:21 a.m.: Oceanview Drive near Wenbourne Lane.

Criminal trespass, 3:56 a.m.: 98100 block of West Benham Lane.

Found property, 9:05 a.m.: Turned in to Brookings police.

Telephone harassment, 9:52 a.m.: 600 block of Old County Road.

Hazard, 11:41 a.m.: Ransom Avenue.

Harassment, 11:51 a.m.: 96500 block of Ostenberg Road.

Theft, 11:58 a.m.: A wallet was taken from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Seventh Street.

Injury traffic crash, 12:15 p.m.: Officers responded to 911 calls regarding a minor traffic crash in the Fred Meyer parking lot. One person was transported by ambulance to a hospital.

Injury traffic crash, 3:05 p.m.: A pedestrian crossing Chetco Avenue near Chetco Lane was struck by a northbound vehicle. The pedestrian was killed.

Lost property, 3:41 p.m.: 700 block of Spruce Street.

Harassment, 3:42 p.m.: An officer took a report of a juvenile being harassed at KidTown in Azalea Park.

Theft, 3:54 p.m.: A 16-foot utility trailer was stolen from a business in the 400 block of Mill Beach Road.

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 4:29 p.m.: A citizen reported possible fraudulent use of someone’s Social Security number.

Non-injury traffic crash, 5:49 p.m.: An officer responded to Fred Meyer for a report of a vehicle which was knocked out of gear and struck two other vehicles.

Non-injury traffic crash, 7:08 p.m.: Olsen and Benham lanes.

Animal complaint 10:07 p.m.: 500 block of Memory Lane.

Dispute/fight: 10:11 p.m.: 600 block of Fifth Street. All was quiet when an officer arrived.

Suspicious conditions, 11:09 p.m.: Possible criminal mischief being done by occupants of a vehicle at Kevin Lane and Hassett Street was not as reported.

Loud noise, 11:19 p.m.: 97900 block of Lively Lane.

Brookings police made three traffic stops resulting in no citations.

Saturday, Aug. 23

Prowler, 12:36 a.m.: Brookings police dispatch transferred a local caller to the proper agency to help a friend living in Sheridan, Texas.

Burglary, 1:45 a.m.: The incident in the 800 block of Cameo Court was not as reported.

Vehicle impounded, 1:47 a.m.: A man was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants in the 16200 block of Highway 101. His car was impounded after it was found he was also driving while suspended. He was given a courtesy transport to his residence after processing.

Suspicious conditions, 1:52 a.m.: A citizen reported a woman loitering on the Chetco River bridge and feared she was going to jump. An officer talked to her and reported she was fine.

Dispute/fight, 7:21 a.m.: North Bank Chetco River Road.

Loud noise, 7:28 a.m.: 700 block of Fourth Street.

Suspicious conditions, 8:34 a.m.: A vehicle parked on private property in the 700 block of Second Street was moved by its owner.

Hazard, 9:23 a.m.: Highway 101 between Heather Lane and Ransom Avenue.

Burglary, 12:05 p.m.: What appeared to be a breakin into a residence in the 400 block of Pine Street may have been caused by a previous tenant leaving garbage  and miscellaneous items behind.

Forgery/fraud/bad check, 12:58 a.m.: 97900 block of West Benham Lane.

Theft, 4:22 a.m.: A vehicle parked at  Harris Beach State Park had its front license plate stolen.

Animal complaint, 6:16 p.m.: 300 block of Dayton Road in Crescent City. The call was transferred to Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office.

Dispute/fight: 7:49 p.m.: Call was transferred to Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office for an incident in Klamath.

Criminal trespassing, 7:53 p.m.: A report of neighbors trespassing on private property in the 700 block of Second Street was not as reported.

10:07 p.m.: A fire started by a candle in an apartment in the 400 block of Hillside Avenue was extinguished before firefighters arrived. A firefighter checked to make sure everything was OK.

Sunday, Aug. 24

Missing person, 12:48 a.m.: Smith River.

Hazard, 9:30 a.m.: Highway 101 and Lower Harbor Road.

Lost property, 11:28 a.m.: Brookings.

Theft, 11:38 a.m.: Harbor Mini Storage.

Animal complaint, 2:28 p.m.: 400 block of Fir Street.

Lost property, 3:19 p.m.: A ring on a chain was lost in Brookings.

Lost property, 6 p.m.: A bi-fold black leather wallet was lost in Brookings.

Driving complaint, 6:36 p.m.: Nook Bar.

Driving complaint, 8:09 p.m.: 97900 block of Klamath Avenue.

Threats, 9:45 a.m.: 600 block of Memory Lane.

Suspicious conditions, 10:53 a.m.: 600 block of Memory Lane.

Monday, Aug. 25

Lost property, 10:29 a.m.: A set of keys were turned in to the Brookings Police Department.

Suspicious conditions, 10:56 a.m.: 17400 block of Spruce Spur.

Lost property, 1:51 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street.

Driving complaint, 1:52 p.m.: Chetco Avenue and Fifth Street.

Bike/skateboard complaint, 3:10 p.m.: 400 block of Mill Beach Road.

Unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, 3:56 p.m.: Kevin Place and Ransom Avenue.

Illegal burn, 5:46 p.m.: 400 block of Pacific Avenue.

Dispute/fight, 6:19 p.m.: 500 block of Fifth Street.

Shots fired, 9 p.m.: Pelican Bay Drive.
