Tuesday, Aug. 20

Hazard, 2:18 a.m.: 15600 block of Highway 101. 

Found property, 9:10 a.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Runaway, 11:43 a.m.: 700 block of Lockwood Lane. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 12:40 p.m.: Carpenterville Road. 

Hazard, 1:24 p.m.: 1600 block of Winchuck River Road. 

Theft, 2:33 p.m.: 800 block of Fawn Drive. 

Criminal mischief, 3:39 p.m.: Skatepark, 800 block of Third Street. 

Theft, 11:02 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Wednesday, Aug. 21 

Fire, 9:29 a.m.: Report of suspicious smoke coming from Mill Beach area turned out to be a controlled burn; 100 block of Tanbark Road. 

Threats, 10:11 a.m.: Call transferred to Curry County Sheriff’s Office; 16000 block of Lower Harbor Road. 

Hazard, 11 a.m.: Highway 101 and Oceanview Drive. 

Dispute/fight, 11:31 a.m.: Hendry Lane. 

Possession of drugs, 12:12 p.m.: Officers responded to a dispute in progress; the male left the area and was stopped in south county. He was arrested on several charges including possession of drugs; 500 block of Cushing Court. 

Found property, 2:28 p.m.: Camera found at Whaleshead Beach. 

Criminal trespass, 3:36 p.m.: Juvenile male trespassed for 30 days from skate park for riding his bike in the skate bowl, despite previous warnings regarding same; 800 block of Third Street. 

Disorderly conduct, 3:40 p.m.: Highway 101 and Whaleshead Road. 

Suspicious conditions, 4:08 p.m.: Rainbow Rock visitors parking. 

Suspicious conditions, 5:11 p.m.: 800 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Field interview, 5:44 p.m.: Several juvenile males on bicycles were warned for failing to yield right of way to a semi truck they crossed in front of on Highway 101; 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Traffic stop, 6:30 p.m.: Verbal warning: Fail to yield to pedestrian in crosswalk; Chetco and Willow Streets. 

Warrant service, 7:27 p.m.: Adult male transient arrested and transported to jail for a valid circuit court warrant. Original charge of criminal trespass; Botanical Gardens, Highway 101. 

Disabled vehicle, 8:14 p.m.: Small motorhome got stuck on the driveway of a local business; officers and fire unit responded for traffic control, and a tow company assisted by pulling the vehicle onto Highway 101, 1200 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Open door, 8:25 p.m.: Open windows in some of the high school classrooms, but all the lights were out. No sign of foul play at location. Maintenance secured the windows; 500 block of Pioneer Road. 

Field interview, 8:41 p.m.: Two young adults were contacted in the park by an officer. They were advised of park hours and said they were just walking through the park on their way home; Azalea Park. 

Field interview, 8:47 p.m.: Male juvenile was advised of park hours and moved along in his vehicle; Azalea Park, lower parking lot. 

Theft, 9:16 p.m.: Officer took report from a female transient who had everything she owned taken from her backpack; 1100 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Animal complaint, 10:01 p.m.: Citizen reporting deer in neighborhood with old back leg injury, but said it is still mobile. Information given to officers and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife; 900 block of Helen Lane. 

Field interview, 11:02 p.m.: Adult female in day use only area of the campground. She moved along in her vehicle. 

Thursday, May 22

Animal complaint, 7:31 a.m.: Found dog was reunited with its pet sitter; 700 block of Pioneer Road. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:10 a.m.: Wharf Street. 

Unauthorized use of a vehicle, 10:45 a.m.: Citizen thought vehicle had been stolen from Fred Meyer parking lot, but it was located parked in a different area than it was thought to be; 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Animal complaint, 1:03 p.m.: Black and white dog reported running at large on Sandy Lane. Officer was unable to locate same; 1100 block of Sandy Lane. 

Vehicle repossessed, 4:52 p.m.: 600 block of Chetco Avenue. 

Dispute/fight, 7:40 p.m.: Call transferred to Curry County Sheriff’s Office; 98200 block of South Bank Chetco River Road. 

Field interview, 8:33 p.m.: Two juveniles were trespassed from city parks for 30 days for riding their bikes in the skate bowl with no helmets, lights or brakes. They will be cited if it occurs again; 800 block of Third Street. 

Loud noise, 10:10 p.m.: Neighbor reported loud bass guitar music coming from an unknown residence on North Second Street. The neighborhood was  quiet and dark upon officer’s arrival. 

Violation of restraining order, 10:36 p.m.: Adult male arrested for earlier violation of restraining order and transported by deputy to Curry County Jail; 600 block of Old County Road.
