Friday, Aug. 16 

Loud noise, 2:30 a.m.: Loud thumping noises were reported in area of Mardon Court. An officer found the area quiet. 

Transient information, 9:34 a.m.: A transient who was sleeping between two businesses in the 200 block of Wharf Street was asked by an officer to leave. 

Unlawful entry of a vehicle, 10:58 a.m.: A vehicle was broken into while the owners were at a beach in California. Owners were provided with the contact number for Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office. 

Found property, 12:32 p.m.: A cell phone found at Easy Street and Pioneer Road was returned to its owner. 

Injury vehicle accident, 2:46 p.m.: A two-vehicle accident was reported on Highway 101 near milepost 345. 

Warrant service, 4:20 p.m.: An adult man in the 600 block of Old County Road was arrested on a valid circuit court warrant and transported to jail. 

Found property, 8:54 p.m.: A non-motorized wheelchair was found on Highway 101 just south of Dawson Road. No one appeared to be in the area surrounding the chair. An officer picked it up as found property and it will be stored at the city shops. 

Animal complaint, 10:07 p.m.: Officers contacted the owner of a barking dog at First Street and Ransom Avenue that was bothering a neighbor. The owner came to secure the dog for the night. 

Loud noise, 10:12 p.m.: A citizen reported loud music or concert in the area of Tanbark Road, but it was quiet upon officer’s arrival. 

Hit and run, 10:44 p.m.: A citizen’s brand new vehicle was the object of a hit and run accident. The suspect vehicle headed north on Chetco Avenue from Pine Cone Tavern, but was not located by officers. 

Dispute/fight, 11:36 p.m.: A fight was reported between two men at Pine Cone Tavern between two men. One threw a glass at another. 

Misuse of 911, 11:37 p.m.: A man was cited for misuse of 911 after calling three times while officers were trying to contact him in the lot of McDonald’s. An employee said he had been there, in and out of his van, for a long time. One time he got out with only a towel wrapped around him. He also told officers he had obtained permission from an employee to be there using wi-fi, which was not true. 

Saturday, Aug. 17 

Animal complaint, 2:41 a.m.: A dog barking for the past two hours was reported at a house under construction in the 900 block of Midland Way. 

Missing person, 11:08 a.m.: 700 block of Elk Drive. 

Found property, 12:57 p.m.: A small gray toiletries bag fell out of a red truck in at Highway 101 and Benham Lane. It contained no identification, just toothbrushes and soap. 

Fire, 1:39 p.m.: Brookings Fire personnel responded to a report of a small bark fire in the 300 block of Fifth Street and extinguished it. 

Suspicious conditions, 3:14 p.m.: While walking along Wharf Street near Chetco Point, a citizen reported overhearing a loud conversation that sounded to be a dispute of some kind. An officer was unable to locate the source. 

Non-injury vehicle accident, 3:41 p.m.: Vehicle drove off the side of the road coming up from Mill Beach. The driver called for tow truck. 

Bike/skateboard complaint, 4:14 p.m.: A caller reported skateboarders hanging onto a pickup truck driving down Cape Ferrelo Road. 

Suspicious conditions, 5:19 p.m.: A male transient in the 600 block of Old County Road was reportedly having hallucinations about people in bushes pointing guns at him. An officer and pedestrians in the area saw nothing like this. 

Suspicious conditions, 6:02 p.m.: A suspicious female was going door to door in the 800 block of Midland Way claiming to be a foreign exchange student and wanting to know about schools and the area. 

Driving complaint, 7:11 p.m.: California Highway Patrol in Humboldt County relayed that a possible intoxicated-driver was headed to Brookings. Officers did not see the  vehicle come into town.

Loud noise, 8 p.m.: A citizen was given information regarding the process of signing a citizen’s citation regarding noise in the 500 block of Redwood Street. 

Field interview, 8:54 p.m.: Three juveniles were contacted after they were observed throwing bark onto Chetco Avenue near Frontage Road. They were counseled and then picked up their mess. 

Suspicious conditions, 9:54 p.m.: 97900 block of Lively Lane. 

Intoxicated subject, 10 p.m.: Boat Basin Road. 

Unauthorized use of a vehicle; 10:54 p.m.: Brookings. 

Sunday, Aug. 18 

DUII, 1:37 a.m.: Highway 101 and Court Street. 

Found property, 9:21 a.m.: Mill Beach. 

Suspicious conditions, 12:26 p.m.: 300 block of Fifth Street. 

Found property, 7:25 p.m.: Easy Manor Park. 

Fire, 11:58 p.m.: Coos Fire Protective Association responded to the 17400 block of Canyon Drive.

Monday, Aug. 19 

Criminal mischief, 8:49 a.m.: Stout Park. 

Hazard, 10:212 a.m.: South Bank Chetco River Road. 

Sexual abuse, 11:41 a.m.: 300 block of Mill Beach Road. 

Dispute/fight, 3:25 p.m.: 16200 block of Tolman Lane. 

Illegal camping, 5:26 p.m.: 300 block of Schooner Bay Drive. 

Criminal mischief, 5:28 p.m.: Wharf Street. 

Suspicious conditions, 7:26 p.m.: Bridge Street. 

Dispute/fight, 9:34 p.m.: 16200 block of Lower Harbor Road. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:23 p.m.: 98100 block of West Benham Lane. 

Suspicious conditions, 10:37 p.m.: Park Avenue.
