Tuesday, April 3
Field interview, 12:28 a.m.: Two people were warned for having an open container in a parked car on Highway 101 near Harris Beach. They tested negative for intoxication. The alcohol was poured out.
Field interview, 12:57 a.m.: A juvenile was warned for curfew and operating a bicycle without a light when required at the “S” curve on Ransom Avenue.
Field interview, 1:22 a.m.: A person in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue was warned for camping in city limits.
Driving complaint, 9:56 a.m.: An officer was unable to locate a black Toyota pickup that was reportedly being driven bey an intoxicated person on Railroad Street.
Theft, 10:43 a.m.: A man was cited into Curry County Circuit Court for theft from Fred Meyer and was told he may not return indefinitely to the store.
Counterfeit, 11:31 a.m.: A counterfeit bill found inside a store in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue was turned in to the Brookings Police Department.
Theft, 3:16 p.m.: A woman was cited for second-degree theft in the 300 block of Fifth Street.
Animal complaint, 3:38 p.m.: An officer spoke to the owners of chickens about keeping them out of the roadway in the 700 block of Easy Street.
Juvenile problem, 6:46 p.m.: A citizen reported juveniles bullying others in the 600 block of Old County Road. An officer was unable to locate the juveniles.
Suspicious conditions, 7:57 p.m.: A suspicious car in the 800 block of Midland Way turned out to be a pizza delivery vehicle.
Loud noise, 8:23 p.m.: The owner of a business in the 500 block of Redwood Street was complaining about noise from another nearby business.
Shots fired, 10:58 p.m.: A citizen reported shots fired in the 1000 block of Marina Heights Road.
Wednesday, April 4
Harassment, 1:22 a.m.: 600 block of Old County Road.
Suspicious conditions, 12:14 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.
Non-injury vehicle accident, 1:09 p.m.: First Street and Ransom Avenue.
Violation of restraining order, 1:42 p.m.: 15700 block of Pedrioli Drive.
Juvenile problem, 2:14 p.m.: 500 block of Pacific Avenue.
Suspicious conditions, 3:46 p.m.: Fern Street.
Fire, 4:27 p.m.: A small campfire was reported behind a residence in the 200 block of Memory Lane.
Loud noise, 5:01 p.m.: A citizen reported gun shots in the 200 block of North Hazel Street. An officer located an old car in the area that was backfiring.
Threats, 5:28 p.m.: 1200 block of Moore Street.
Found property, 7:59 p.m.: 800 block of Limbaugh Avenue.
Animal complaint, 9:01 p.m.: A French bulldog was found between Brookings and Gold Beach. Owner called Brookings Police Department within minutes to report her dog as lost. Both parties came to the Brookings Police Department lobby and the happy dog was reunited with a happy owner.
Suspicious conditions, 9:34 p.m.: A citizen reported screaming and glass breaking in the area of Pioneer Lane. Officers were unable to locate.
Probation violation, 9:55 p.m.: One man violated court probation by being in contact with a woman he was ordered not to be around in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.
Thursday, April 4
Non-injury vehicle accident, 4:07 a.m.: A single vehicle crash was reported in the 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.
Misuse of 911, 10:27 a.m.: A caller dialed 911 to ask for a phone number to a police station located out of state. Caller was counseled on misuse of 911.
Criminal trespass, 11:31 a.m.: 500 block of Fir Street.
Suspicious conditions, 12:04 p.m.: Police investigated a report of a possible intoxicated driver in the 600 block of Easy Street and found the driver was not intoxicated.
Harassment, 12:32 p.m.: A caller in the 500 block of Fir Street reported two people visiting a neighboring apartment were harassing her. Two people were contacted and told to leave the property.
Animal complaint, 2:52 p.m.: Two calls regarding two aggressive dogs at large were received from Rosichelli Drive. Both parties reported they were charged. Officers were able to locate the dogs and place them back at the owner’s home. The owner was not home at the time of the incident.
Field interview, 3:29 p.m.: A report was received regarding several juveniles running through the bushes at Azalea Park. Officers made contact with four juveniles and they were counseled on using the pathways.
Criminal mischief, 3:32 p.m.: A complaint was received regarding children taking mail out of mailboxes in the 800 block block of Highland Avenue.
Intoxicated subject, 6:11 p.m.: A complaint was received regarding four intoxicated people standing in a bus shelter in the 900 block of Chetco Avenue. An officer arrived on scene and found no trash, no disorderly conduct and no crime.
