Friday, April 18
Suspicious conditions, 12:23 a.m.: Officers contacted occupants of a vehicle that had been parked across from a residence in the 400 block of Maple Street for several hours.
Non-injury vehicle injury, 1:13 a.m.: 500 block of Myrtle Street.
Overdue subject, 7:14 a.m.: Smith River.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle; 10:12 a.m.: Officers were asked to keep a lookout for a stolen vehicle out of Grants Pass.
Warrant service, 10:21 a.m.: An man with a Curry County warrant was not located by officers when they looked for him at Oak and Spruce streets.
Identity theft, 10:40 a.m.: 01100 block of Winchuck River Road.
Found property, 11:19 a.m.: Found keys were turned in to Brookings Police Department.
Suspicious conditions, 11:25 a.m.: 900 block of Marina Heights Road.
Dispute/fight, 1:31 p.m.: Officers responded to report of a verbal dispute in the 800 block of 800 block of Pioneer Road.
Intoxicated subject, 3:10 p.m.: An intoxicated man was acting aggressively toward customers at Fred Meyer. He was ushered off the premises by friends and left as a passenger in their vehicle.
Intoxicated subject, 5:19 p.m.: Officers responded to a citizen’s complaint that an intoxicated female had just walked into his residence in the 200 block of King Street and stated that she was going to live there now. The resident did not press charges as the female was willing to leave and did so when her taxi arrived.
Explosion, 10:52 p.m.: 97800 block of Shopping Center Avenue.
Probation violation, 10:52 p.m.: An adult male was arrested on a probation violation at Chetco and Beach avenues and transported to jail.
Brookings police made 12 traffic stops, resulting in four citations, including cell phone use, one for 53 mph and another for 57 mph in the 35 mph zone at the north end of Brookings.
Saturday, April 19
Hazard, 4:05 a.m.: Highway 101 at Smith River Agricultural Inpsection Station.
Harassment, 8:58 a.m.: A citizen being telephonically harassed by someone out of state was directed to report it in that state and block the calling number.
Harassment, 11:31 a.m.: 800 block of Pioneer Road.
Area check, 1:07 p.m.: A man in violation of his probation by consuming alcohol was cited, and his alcohol was seized, at Fifth and Street and Barbara Lane.
Found property, 3:47 p.m.: Turned in to Brookings police.
Unauthorized use of vehicle; 7:51 p.m.: A vehicle was reported stolen from the 18300 block of Taylor Creek Road.
Harassment, 9:20 p.m.: An officer assisted a citizen with a report of her son being harassed on Facebook.
Brookings police made 14 traffic stops, resulting in three citations, including one for less than an ounce of marijuana, and another stop for 47 mph in the 35 mph zone at the north end of Brookings.
Sunday, April 20
Harassment, 8:51: 500 block of Fern Avenue.
Theft, 12:18 p.m.: The theft of candy bars and soup was reported from a motel in the 1200 block of Chetco Avenue.
Hit and run, 1:28 p.m.: 1100 block of Chetco Avenue.
Fire, 5:19 p.m.: Police received reports of a campfire in the driftwood on the beach at the North Jetty. The people moved to a safer location.
Violation of restraining order, 5:55 p.m.: 1600 block of Chetco Avenue.
Probation violation, 10:23 p.m.: Chetco and Pacific avenues.
Brookings police made eight traffic stops, resulting in one citation
Monday, April 21
Suspicious conditions, 12:59 a.m.: Suspicious men were in the 800 block of Railroad Street.
Theft, 8:41 a.m.: 800 block of Ransom Avenue.
Theft, 11:42 a.m.: 700 block of Old County Road.
Theft, 12:36 p.m.: Bike reported stolen from the 500 block of Fern Avenue was later returned.
Overdue subject, 2:36 p.m.: An overdue person was later found on Easy Street.
Suspicious conditions, 2:58 p.m.: Fern Avenue.
Warrant service, 5:14 p.m.: A man in the 300 block of Fifth Street was arrested on felony warrant out of Alameda County, Calif.
Dispute/fight, 11:07 p.m.: 500 block of Fern Street.
Brookings police made three traffic stops, resulting in one citation for 44 mph in a 35 zone at Chetco Avenue and Heather Lane.
