Derek Peter Alex Volkov, 33, Grants Pass, was convicted July 22 of probation violation. His probation was continued and extended one year.

Kimberly Grace Baffa, 53, Port Orford, was convicted July 22 of assault. She was sentenced to 36 months in prison, 36 months’ post-prison supervision and to pay $767.

Daniel William Wright, 40, Gold Beach, was convicted July 23 of probation violation. His probation was continue and $2,500 of his fine was converted to community service.

Michael Dean DiMarzio, 56, Santa Cruz, Calif., was convicted July 23 of probation violation. His probation was continued and extended two years.

Michael Case Brooks, 20, Brookings, was convicted July 23 of possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and giving false information to police. For possession, he was sentenced to 10 days in jail, 18 months’ probation and to pay $1,265. For disorderly, he was sentenced to 12 months’ probation and to pay $385. For false information, he was placed on 12 months’ probation and ordered to pay $635.

Christopher Michael Carter, 19, Brookings, on July 26 failed to appear on theft charges. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Joseph Francisco Cyrus, 21, Grants Pass, was convicted July 26 of criminal trespass.He was sentenced to five days in jail, 24 months’ probation and to pay $732 plus $10.49 restitution.

Craig Arnold Briggs, 47, Port Orford, failed to appear July 26 on four theft charges. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Conrad Edward Husted, 20, Smith River,Calif., was convicted July 26 of minor possessing beer and was ordered to pay $200.

Gerald A. Lewis Jr., 19, Smith River, Calif., was convicted July 26 of minor possession alcohol and was ordered to pay $200.

Benjamin Zeb Mattson, 30, Gold Beach, was convicted July 26 of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was ordered to pay $750.

Timber Scott-Vanderzander, 19, Smith River, Calif., was convicted July 26 of minor possessing alcohol and was ordered to pay $200.

Wesley J. Vaniersel, 55, Brookings, was convicted July 26 of exceeding bag limit of ground fish. He was ordered to pay $150.

Michael Shane Sorsby, 19, Gold Beach, was convicted July 26 of minor possessing alcohol and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was ordered to pay $1,200 for the MIP and $705 for the marijuana.

Kyle Richard McCoy, 22, Brookings, was convicted July 27 of driving while suspended. He was placed on 24 months’ probation and ordered to pay $1,175.

Coriolanus Dejong, 68, Canton, S.D., was convicted July 27 of careless driving. He was ordered to pay $183.

Joanna Francine Nicholson, 41, Crescent City, Calif., on July 27 had charges of contempt of court dismissed.

Christopher Mason Brewer, 50, Harbor, failed to appear July 29 for arraignment on a show cause order. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Michael Shane Harris, 39, Port Orford, was convicted July 29 of violation of a court stalking order and three counts of contempt of court. He was sentenced to 18 months’ probation and to pay $355 for the violation conviction and 18 months’ probation and to pay $100 for each of the three contempt convictions.

Jared Wesley Garlock, 26, Salem, was convicted Feb. 26 and sentenced July 30 of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, 24 months’ probation and to pay $965 plus restitution.

Brandon Rodenbaugh, 21, Brookings, was convicted July 30 of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was placed on a one-year diversion and ordered to pay $455.
