An item in the Feb. 1 Court Report incorrectly said Karen Sue Jungkunz, born 1958, of Port Orford, faces trial in April on three charges of burglary and two of theft; she actually faces one burglary and two theft charges.
Daniel Nunez, born 1984, of Crescent City, pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of marijuana, conspiracy and theft. He faces a May 1 trial.
Callie A. Preston, born 1976, of Gold Beach, pleaded guilty and was convicted of possession of marijuana charges; she was fined $500.
Devery Randall Freeman, born 1962, of Gold Beach, was arraigned on charges of possession of marijuana.
Gerald Michael Paugh, born 1992, of Port Orford, pleaded guilty and was convicted on felony charges of possession of a firearm by a felon. He was sentenced to 24 months’ probation, fined $445 and ordered not to have any firearm in his possession.
Laura Ann Warren, born 1963, of Gold Beach, was arraigned on felony charges of hindering prosecution.
Matthew Ellis Barbour, born 1989, of Brookings, pleaded guilty and was convicted of disorderly conduct; he was ordered to pay a fine of $500 and $15 restitution.
Rylane Jesse Caudell, born 1980, of Brookings has forfeited his $12,500 bond after failing to appear in court on criminal mischief and theft charges.
Daniel Walter Fleming, born 1992, of Brookings, was found in violation of his probation relating to a disorderly conduct charge. He was ordered to pay $275 and sentenced to five days in jail, with credit for time he’s served on his most recent arrest.
Toby James Hargrove, born 1982, of Brookings, pleaded guilty and was convicted of disorderly conduct; he was fined $500 and ordered to pay $15 in restitution.
A warrant has been issued for Wayne Denny Hyland, born 1949, of Big Sur, Calif., after he failed to appear in court on DUII charges.
A warrant was issued for Rustie Lynn Mansur, born 1976, of Brookings, after she failed to appear in court for hearings on three identity theft and two second-degree charges.
Rochelle Marie Simmons, born 1980, pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiring to theft and theft charges; she faces trial April 4.
Tyler James Wagner, born 1984, of Santa Rosa, Calif., pleaded guilty and was convicted on one charge of giving false information to police. He was sentenced to 18 months’ probation, seven days in jail, fined $617 and can have no contact with McKay’s Markets. A second charge of the same, and a theft charge, were dismissed.
Mark William Woodger, born 1970, of Gold Beach, pleaded guilty to felony possession of a controlled substance and providing false information to police. He was sentenced to 18 months’ probation, seven days in jail and fined $500.
Mandi Marie Burkhow, born 1988, of Port Orford, was sentenced to 36 months’ probation, 30 days in jail and must pay $25,000 in victim compensation to Russell Peters of Port Orford. Burkhow was found guilty of conspiring to lure Peters to Paradise Point north of Port Orford where two other men beat him with a baseball bat in January 2013. She was also ordered not to have any contact with Port and Starboard restaurant in Port Orford where she and her accomplices made the plans to assault the man. Additionally, she was also sentenced to 30 days in jail, to be run consecutively with the other case, for tampering with a witness.
Burkhow also pleaded guilty and was convicted of charges of escape, for which she was sentenced to 24 months’ probation, 30 days in jail and fined $600. She is only eligible for release if she attends residential drug treatment. Two probation violations also garnered her another 37 days in jail and a $50 fine.
Barbara Lee Nelson, born 1990, of Brookings, pleaded guilty and was convicted of criminal mischief charges; she was sentenced to 36 months’ probation and fined $850.
