8:41 a.m.: The crew of the pleasure craft Sea Hag called the U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River stating they were disabled near Goat Island. The Coast Guard launched a 25-foot rescue boat to assist the disabled vessel and towed it to the Port of Brookings Harbor.
Monday, May 17
6 p.m.: U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River received a call from 911 dispatch about a 21-foot pleasure craft disabled a mile north of the Chetco River entrance with four people on board. The Coast Guard launched a 47-foot motor life boat to assist the vessel. The motor lifeboat towed the disabled vessel back to the Port of Brookings Harbor.
