Friday, May 28

1:30 p.m.: A lone person aboard the 19-foot vessel Kokomo called the U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River via VHF channel 16 and reported the boat was disabled with one person on board one-half mile off Goat Island. The Coast Guard launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat to assist and tow the craft to the Port of Brookings Harbor.

 

Saturday, May 30

11:04 a.m.: The crew of a 21-foot pleasure craft hailed U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River via VHF radio to report the boat was disabled neat Barnacle Rock.  The Coast Guard launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat to assist and tow the vessel to the Port of Brookings Harbor.

2:15 p.m.: A crewmember aboard a Bayliner called the U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River via cell phone to report the boat was disabled one mile south of House Rock. The Coast Guard launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat to assist the disabled vessel and tow it to the Port of Brookings Harbor.

 

Sunday, May 31

9:15 a.m.: The operator of the  19-foot vessel Kokomo contacted the U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River reporting the vessel was disabled  and was anchored between Mack Arch and the beach. The Coast Guard launched a 25 foot rescue boat to assist and tow the vessel to the Port of Brookings Harbor.
