Wednesday, Dec. 9
12:10 p.m.: U.S Coast Guard Station Chetco River personnel received a call via VHF radio from the crew of the fishing vessel Jaime Lee stating they were taking on water near Crescent City, Calif. Group Humboldt Bay launched a helicopter and a 47-foot motor lifeboat was dispatched from Chetco River to assist. The Jamie Lee was dewatered and towed to Crescent City Harbor by the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Saturday, Dec. 12
The Chetco River Bar was restricted to recreational boats under 26-feet in length due to rough bar conditions.
Sunday, Dec. 13
8 a.m.: U.S. Coast Guard Station Chetco River personnel received a call on VHF channel 16 from the crew of the fishing vessel Melissa stating they had a crab pot line stuck in their props near Goat Island. Station Chetco River launched a 47-foot motor lifeboat and towed the the vessel to the Port of Brookings-Harbor.
Monday, Dec. 14
The Chetco River Bar was restricted to all recreational boats due to rough bar conditions.
