William Wayne Waters

William Wayne Waters, 85, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at Sunbridge Brittany Home in Sacramento, Calif.

He was a former resident of Brookings.

Mr. Walters was in the U.S. Army Air Corps in England during World War II. He retired from Pacific Bell in Fort Bragg, Calif., where he also fished for salmon commercially.

Survivors are his wife, Pat (Stem) Waters; sister, Dorothy of Carson City, Nev.; brother, Warren of Washington; daughter, Norene of Redding, Calif.; granddaughters, Kim Folsom of California and Lynn of New York.

He is also survived by great-granddaughter, Erin, and great-grandson, Logan of Sacramento, Calif.; niece, Cleo of Texas; and nephew, Gary of Carson City, Nev.

Graveside services were Saturday, Sept. 22 at Ward Memorial Cemetery, Brookings.
