William James Chandler

William James Chandler, 90, Brookings, died Sept. 1, 2001, in Brookings.

He was born March 3, 1911, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Albert and Jeanette Chandler.

He grew up in Washington and attended school in Everett.

He married Lenora Hassler on Oct. 30, 1934, in Kerby.

Mr. Chandler worked as a carpenter for 70 years and was a member of Lighthouse Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife of Brookings; daughters, Sabra Storm, Bandon, Lynda Ford, Crescent City, and Sharon Jones, Long Beach, Wash.; sons, William Chandler Jr., Brookings, and Richard Chandler, Aloha.

He is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son, Robert Chandler.

Services were Sept. 4, at Lighthouse Assembly of God with Pastor Richard Hadley officiating.
