Vladimir R. Sandy Snazuk, 77, Brookings, died Dec. 18, 2000, at Sutter Coast Hospital.
He was born May 23, 1923, in Buffalo, N.Y.
He graduated from the University of Buffalo in 1948 and married his wife, Jo, in 1950.
Mr. Snazuk was a licensed certified public accountant and a sales manager of a copper company in Buffalo before moving to Cleveland, Ohio; Chicago and settling in Elkhart, Ind., in 1965.
His company JoSan Supply, which he started with his wife, was successful in Elkhart. JoSan Supply was a manufacturer and provider of mobile home and recreational vehicle parts and supplies.
Mr. Snazuk invented several items that are now commonplace in the industry, his family said.
When his sons moved west, h e and his wife sold their company and moved to Gold Beach in 1980 to be near them.
He was instrumental in helping his sons businesses. He was a fixture in the offices of both the Friendship Inn of Gold Beach and also the Best Western Beachfront Inn of Brookings.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine Snazuk, Gold Beach; sons Nicholas Snazuk, North Bend; David Snazuk and wife, Janet; Robert Snazuk and wife Robin and their two children, Stephanie and Stephen, all of Gold Beach; brother and sister-in-law Steve and Olga Snazuk, Buffalo.
At his request, no services will be held.
