Vernon L. Borders, 76, Harbor, died Dec. 26, 2000, in Roseburg.
He was born Nov. 4, 1924, in Wynnewood, Okla., to Otis and Minnie Borders.
He grew up in Oklahoma and New Mexico.
Mr. Borders was a disabled World War II veteran.
He married Nancy Borders in February 1977, in Reno, Nev.
He worked as a mechanic for most of his life.
Survivors are his wife Nancy Borders, Harbor; brothers Robert Borders, Eugene; David Borders, McMinnville; mother Minnie Borders, Lewiston, Idaho; sons Larry Borders, Eugene; James Gruver, Brownsville; Michael Gruver, Coos Bay; Joe Gruver, Carnation, Wash.; daughters Connie Kautz, Soultan, Wash.; Cindy Bott, Coos Bay.
Preceding him in death were his father Otis Borders, Lewiston, Idaho; brothers Clyde Borders, Lewiston; Coleman Borders, Reedsport.
Services are scheduled Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Beach in Charleston.
