Toni Marie Wilson, 78, died of lung cancer on Oct. 9, 2001, in Coos Bay.
She was born Cora Mae Stoner on Jan. 6, 1923, in Decatur, Ill., to Raymond William Stoner and Mary Alice Stoner (Dumas).
She graduated from San Luis Rey Academy in June 1937 and finished her education abroad.
She married Allingsworth Wilson in Nevada, and worked at Harrolds, and retired in 1979.
She moved to the area from Grand Marias, Minn., in 1985. She was a member of the Gold Beach Senior Center and Gold Beach R.S.V.P., and several other organizations.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband; daughters, Dona Mitchell, Shari Pate and her husband Delane, and Marti Escandon and her husband Ruben; son, Donald Mitchell; stepdaughters, Beverly Daugherty and Rosie Lawrence, and daughter in law, Helene Wilson.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 15 stepgrandchildren, 27 step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were husband, Donald Mitchell, her father and mother, an infant son, and stepsons Mervin Wilson and Ruel Harp.
Services were Oct. 14 in Gold Beach.
