Toni C. Markle, of Brookings, died Sept. 22, 2012, in Crescent City, Calif., after a long battle with cancer.
She was born July 7, 1942, in Los Angeles, to Galen Jones and Virginia Coulter Jones.
She is survived by her husband Michael D. Markle; son Michael Taylor, his wife Pam and a grandson David Taylor of Sacramento, Calif. Additional family include her sister and brother-in-law Reverie and Norman Totten of Sutter Creek, Calif., and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Nancy Pendleton of Medford.
She was preceded in death by her son Chris Taylor.
Toni worked at Jumbo Markets in Martel, Calif., for many years, retiring to accompany her husband to many embassies around the world with the U.S. State Department.
After retirement they settled in Brookings with their pet dogs, Canace and Sierra.
She was an active CASA member in Curry County.
Interment to be at Sunset Cemetery in Jackson, Calif.
