Former Brookings resident Teddy Miller, our favorite fisherman, went to the final fishing ground Oct. 23, 2011. Teddy was a retired commercial fisherman. He is survived by his mother Carol Carpenter of Central Point; father Theodore Miller of Brookings; sons Dustin Miller of Sparks, Nev., Ben Miller of Central Point; brothers Barney Miller and Thumper Carpenter of Central Point. Also surviving is his fiance Kim Michael of Butte Falls. He leaves behind many friends and loved ones. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Commcial Fishermen’s Wives Association, P.O. Box 2523, Harbor, OR 97415. Submitted by the family.
