The gathering will include a potluck with family and friends and a sharing of photographs and memories.
Ted Somers died Saturday, April 21, 2012, in Portland, while living with his cousin and attending Clackamas Community College. He was working toward his goal of becoming a certified lineman returning to Gold Beach and to work with his father.
Ted was born Jan. 4, 1976, in Hillsboro. In 1992, the family settled in Gold Beach. He married Terra Neff in July of 1996 in Phoenix, Ariz. The couple returned to Oregon but separated in 1999.
Ted was hard working and passionate about his family, life and music.
Surviving are his son Joseph of Hermiston; daughters Tamera of Hermiston and Cecelia of Coos Bay; parents Dan and Tamera Somers of Gold Beach; brothers Adam of Forest Grove, Chad and Waylon of Gold Beach; grandparents John and Sharon Huff of Brookings and Pat Somers of Gold Beach. Also surviving is an extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
