Steve Morris, 16, of Brookings, died June 30, 2002, in Harbor.

He was born Dec. 18, 1985, in Crescent City to Stan Morris and Marlene Shields.

He was a student at Brookings-Harbor High School.

He was a member of the school's basketball team. He loved to ride motorcycles and team quads. He also loved the Chetco River.

Survivors are his mother, Marlene Shields of Corvallis; father, Stan Morris of Smith River; sisters, Selena and Helena Morris, both of Corvallis; grandparents, Harvey and Reba Morris of Nipoma, Calif.; Mark Rubio of Los Angeles and Helen Rubio of Portland.

Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation is Friday, July 5, at 10 a.m. at Litty's Brookings Chapel, 517 Railroad St.

Services will follow at 1 p.m. at Church of the Nazarene. Pastor Johnnie Watterson will officiate.

Remembrances may be made to the "Runnin' Bruins" Brookings-Harbor High School's basketball team.
