Rose May Leith, 80, Gold Beach, died Jan. 21, 2001, in Gold Beach of heart failure.
She was born March 8, 1920, in Concordia, Kan. She was the only survivor of triplets born to Jet and Alta Brown.
She was raised and educated in Blue Rapids, Kan.
She married John C. Leith March 16, 1959, in Klamath, Calif.
They moved to Gold Beach in 1946 from Tacoma, Wash.
Mrs. Leith worked at Curry General Hospital and the Leith Motel, which was on the land where McKays Market is currently located.
She enjoyed canning, cooking and being a devoted mother and housewife at the Leith Ranch.
Survivors are her husband Jack Leith, Gold Beach; daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Hank Harder, Bremerton, Wash.; Sarah and Floyd Smith, Gold Beach; sons and daughters-in-law Leon Harris Jr. and Vivian Harris, Port Orchard, Wash.; Richard and Gina Harris, Aumsville; Tom and Diane Leith, Gold Beach; daughter Rosalie Leith, Gold Beach; brother and sister-in-law Daniel and Willie Brown, Richland, Wash.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sisters Carmen and Gloria; brother Sonny.
Visitation is planned for Jan. 25 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Litty Funeral Directors, Gold Beach Chapel.
A memorial service is planned for the same day at 2 p.m. at Rogue River Cemetery.
