Ronald A. Matlock, 73, of Springfield passed away Jan. 16, 2013, at his home, with his significant other Nancy Holihan at his side.
Ronald was born May 3, 1939, in Harbor to Arlie and Charlene Matlock.
Ronald owned Matlock Plumbing, in Brookings, for most of his adult life. He enjoyed spending time with friends, drinking coffee at McDonalds. He also loved buying and fixing up old cars and playing dominoes.
He moved to Springfield in the later part of 2012.
Survivors include his son Ronald Matlock Jr. and his wife Sandy; daughter Lisa Berry and her partner Jessie; grandchildren Clinton, Dustin, and Joseph Matlock; granddaughters Ariel and Amanda; great-granddaughter Lucidia; sisters Shirley Swieringa and her partner Roger Starnes, Darlene and Sonny Lute. Also surviving are two nieces, two nephews and 11 great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by former wives Jean Matlock and Mary Matlock.
Ron will be missed by his family and friends.
