Roger Fredrick Williams, 82, Harbor, died April 30, 2000.
He was born on March 2, 1918, in Denver, Colo., to parents Fred and Grace (Hiller) Williams.
He was raised and educated in Denver and Oakland, Calif. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He earned many medals including the Victory Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, American Theater Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
After his discharge, he moved to Oakland, Calif. He then moved to Folsom, Calif., and worked as a florist until his retirement.
He moved to Brookings in 1987. He enjoyed many hobbies and interests including hunting, fishing, gardening and working with flowers.
Surviving are cousins Sherlee Richins, Weed, Calif; Harold Bagnatori, Fair Oaks, Calif.; Geraldine Nally, Carmichael, Calif.
Preceding him in death were parents Fred and Grace Williams.
No formal service will be conducted at this time.
Arrangements were under the direction of Scantlins Brookings Mortuary Chapel.
