Roderick Walter Craven, 82, Albany, died Sept. 5, 2000.
He was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Knoxville, Iowa, to Delbert and Marie (Haysom) Craven.
He moved to Anaheim, Calif., as a child and graduated from Anaheim High School.
He married Maxine Craven May 7, 1939.
Mr. Craven was a cabinet maker then owned a building material store in Big Bear Lake, Calif., for 20 years.
After his retirement, he was a missionary in the Philippines. Before moving to the Albany/Lebanon area, he and his wife made their home in Brookings.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Albany.
Survivors are wife Maxine Craven, Albany; daughters Sharon Bell, Lebanon; Karon Harries, Tangent; Jill Henricks, Tustin, Calif.; sister Louise Salkeld of 29 Palms, Calif.
Also surviving are four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for Monday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 2817 Santiam Hwy. S.E., Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Assembly of God Church.
