Robert Skeeter Walters, 64, Brookings, died Jan. 30, 2001, at Rogue Valley Medical Center in Medford.
He was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Lakeport, Calif.
He married Kathryn (Kujala) Walters July 28, 1956, in Reno, Nev.
They moved to Brookings in 1993 from Alaska.
Mr. Walters spent the first part of his life in Fort Bragg, Calif., as a commercial fisherman. He later worked in Alaska as a commercial crab fisherman for 15 years.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening and sport fishing.
Survivors are his wife Kathryn Walters, Brookings; daughters Suzanne Jones, Spokane, Wash.; Amy Paradis, Brookings; Carol Hadaller, Jefferson; son Robert Walters, Tenakee Springs, Alaska; brothers Herb Walters, Fort Bragg, Calif.; Lloyd Walters, Napa, Calif.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his brother Carl Walters.
A family service will be held at a later date.
