Richard Ireland, 66, Agness died Sept. 28, 2001, in Agness.

He was born July 23, 1935, to Lorimer C. and Marie Ireland.

He moved to Ashland from Los Angeles in 1956 where he ranched with his father for many years. After retiring, he moved to Agness where he purchased and operated Agness R.V. Park with his wife, Serene.

Survivors are his wife of Agness; mother, Marie Ireland of Ashland; daughters, Carri Six of Medford, Connie Ireland of Ashland, Corrine Griffin of Huntington Beach, Calif., Coco Rutchland of Maui, Hawaii, Elizabeth Alrick of Ashland and Emily Alrick of San Francisco; son, Rick Ireland of Klamath Falls; brother, William J. Hernlein of Los Angeles; sisters, Ann Marie Ireland of Los Angeles, and Kathryn F. Adams of Portland.

Also surviving are eight grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Gloria; his father; and brother, Gordon Ireland.

A memorial service will be today (Oct. 3) at 2 p.m. at the home of Bev and Billy Collinswright, 2595 N. Valley View Road, Ashland. Potluck to follow. For directions call (541) 482-1934.

There will be a potluck in honor of Mr. Ireland Saturday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at Agness R.V. Park. For directions call (541) 247-2813.
